This beautiful cottage boasts fabulous views over the stunning countryside and is nestled in a great location, on the owner’s small equestrian yard.
Stublick View (ref UKC548) is a pleasant, semi-detached cottage adjoining the owner’s home. With two comfortable bedrooms and a shower room upstairs, and a welcoming, open-plan living area with a cosy wood burner downstairs, this is a great cottage for a relaxing break at any time of year.
Just outside the village of Langley-on-Tyne and only a short drive from the market town of Hexham, there are plenty of opportunities for walkers and cyclists to enjoy the many beautiful towns, villages, castles, forts and historic attractions that are all located close by. The celebrated writer, Catherine Cookson’s former home is only a few minutes’ walk away and Langley Castle is just under 2 miles away. There is a fishing lake just over a quarter of a mile away and plenty of excellent golf courses in the area too. Only 7 miles away, Hexham is a thriving town that boasts plenty of history as well as shops, cafés, restaurants and attractions including Hexham Old Gaol and Hexham Abbey. Perfect for guests who enjoy visiting historical sites, Hadrian’s Wall is situated very close by with popular Roman settlements and sites dotted along it. Housesteads Roman Fort and Vindolanda are only 12 miles away as is the National Landscape Discovery Centre called The Sill which is great to visit at any time of year.
Popular Northumbrian villages including Corbridge, Bardon Mill, Haydon Bridge and Haltwhistle, all within an easy 30 minutes’ drive and offer plenty of traditional shops and places to eat. A little further afield but still within a one-hour drive, guests will be able to visit Newcastle upon Tyne, Gateshead for the Metrocentre, Beamish Living Museum, the cathedral city of Durham and the award-winning beaches of the North East coast including Whitley Bay and Tynemouth. Shop 4 miles, pub and restaurant 1 mile.
