The establishment is about 200m far from the car park at the old threshing floors (Palia Alonia) at the entrance of the Old Village. We were warmly welcomed by George at the port and he drove us up the hillside to his delightful house, in the old village. The position was perfect with beautiful sea views. During our stay, we would often get back from the beach to find he'd left us fruit and veg from his garden, or a jar of Alonissos honey. He was so kind, nothing was too much trouble - looking forward to returning next year!

It was fantastic to stay in the old town of Alonnisos at George and Anna's home. The place is perfectly located, because it's steps away from the center of the old town, but away from the noise and touristy ramble. It is tastefully decorated and has all the amenities you might need, and the view of the Aegean Sea is what you dream of.
But best of all, were George and Anna themselves. They are welcoming, kind, helpful and go the extra mile to make you feel comfortable and to help you enjoy your vacation. I can't imagine more considerate hosts.
I highly recommend staying at this house on the beautiful island of Alonissos!

Excellent. Highly recommended
George and his family was waiting for us at the port and escorted us to the property. What an amazing family, Those guys are incredible! The house was probably the cleanest placed I ever stayed, with an amazing view of the village and the sea. Although, it was refurbished recently, George managed to keep the traditional touch of the house. A must, if someone decide to stay in the "heart" of the island. In general great experience, great people, excellent place. Highly recommended!

Quiet, traditional, steps from Chora. Very clean
We just loved this house. A very well refurbished home . Class , untouched tradition and very very clean. We were so surprised & happy to find such a lovely home. 3 ladies couldn't have asked for more. The neighborhood is quiet, yet only a few steps from the center of the village "Chora". So convenient. Owners were lovely, they even brought us home made cheese pie. Excellent. Thank you . Hope to be back some day.

Vicky, thank you for your kind words. I have added a couple of towel hangers in the bathroom, so I will be waiting for you to come again and check them out. Stella and Helen can also gather some more pebbles from the beaches!

a delicious house in the old town
we stayed in Ikia Brown house for a week. The house was perfect, with a lot of unexpected details, welcome set included, that made our staying perfect and made us feel as we were in our home. There was everything we need, and the owner George delighted us with "daily gifts" (fresh eggs, homemade Alonisson cheese pie, biscuits) for our breakfast. The position was strategic, in a quiet area, two minutes walk to arrive in the core of old town. From the house we had a beautiful view of the sea and of the higher part of the old town. George was very happy to give us all the information about the islands and was at our disposal for everything we need. A perfect location in a beautiful island.

About the host
Hosted by George Tsoukanas
I was born in Athens, however I grew up in a smaller town called Halkida. I returned to Athens for studies and work later on. After 23 years of work and looking for a simpler and less stressful way of living, I resigned from my job as a bank branch manager and decided to start a new life in my place of origin.
Why they chose this property
This island has a unique combination of beautiful beaches and forests that reach the seaside. It is a place one can fall in love with. As when in love, your senses sharpen, you see, smell and hear as never before. Furthermore, this property belongs to my family for four generations.
What makes this property unique
In Ikia one can find out how houses were built on this island 100 years ago, but without giving up modern facilities.
