My wife and I and our three young children stayed in this lovely home for two weeks and I can't say enough good things about the whole experience. The home is a comfortable, charming French chateau with plenty of room for everyone to spread out. It's situated amongst vineyards and sunflower seeds creating a beautiful setting. The location offers plenty of options from visiting vineyards to boating in Arcachon to the many options available in the vibrant city of Bordeaux..
Originally, I thought two weeks might be too long of a stay for us. Instead, we found that we had more than enough activities including water skiing, horseback riding and much more. We also found that some of our favorite days were just relaxing by the pool enjoying a nice lunch and bottle of wine.
The caretakers, Thomas and Heidi were always there for us to answer questions or provide any service we needed. Thank you again for the delicious pancakes, blackberry pie and for entertaining our kids!
If you're looking for a taste of the French countryside with a beach and city nearby you can't go wrong here.
As a party of 12 family and friends, we took the whole chateau for 3days. Thomas, Heidi and Fiona the dog provided a warm greeting and were extremely attentive and helpful throughout. This is a large and spacious chateau yet homely and comfortable. It was meticulously clean. The artwork is spectacular. Pool is large and very clean.Outside areas are spacious and well furnished. Bus stop only 200m away but you really need own transport if staying for more than a couple of days. We would thoroughly recommend this property and hope to return one day.
