About this property

We care about the flat and about you to thank you for having chosen us

Hello! We are Belén and Pablo. Welcome to Salamanca!

As fellow travelers, and having visited several countries, we learned to appreciate the advantages of staying at an apartment instead of hotel accommodation.

We want you to feel at home while you visit this animated, historic and beautiful city. In addition, you can use the apartment as a base and visit the attractive villages surrounding it (La Alberca, Candelario, Ciudad Rodrigo,…)

Enjoy a very bright, quiet and comfy apartment that is centrally located, where up to four people can stay, only 7 minutes walking to the Plaza Mayor (Main Square).

DESCRIPTION:

- Entrance hall to the building with ramp.

- One bedroom with a double bed and a built-in wardrobe- One bathroom with a shower with a thermostatic tap, hand soap, shower gel, shampoo, hair dryer ...)

- One living room with a studio couch (143cm x 200 cm) and a kitchen fully equipped with everything needed (fridge, freezer, cooker, oven, microwave oven, toaster, squeezer, Nespresso coffee maker with capsules, washing machine, iron,… )

- Towels, Egyptian cotton sheets and disposable slippers.

- Free WIFI

- A 32 ”inches Sony Bravia television set.

- Free Chromecast (under petition, it’s a device to see internet videos in the TV)

- LED lighting.

- Smoke detector

- Carbon monoxide detector

- Cleaning products: washing-up liquid, liquid laundry detergent and softener.

- Last but not least, if you come with a baby, we have then a specific soap, oil, and crockery, and also a high chair, an inflatable bathtub, and a cot.

- Registered at the Junta de Castilla y León, Apart. number 37/000085

Just a few meters walking and you can find: a Carrefour Express, cafes, bars, take away food shops and restaurants, El Tree supermarket, San Juan market, a bakery, a green grocer, a butcher´s, a fish shop, a chemist´s, a hairdresser's, ..

Just one minute walking and you will find Calle Zamora (Zamora Street), one of the main pedestrian areas in the city. You will be able to begin your sightseeing route visiting the original San Marcos church, with its circular ground plan and Romanesque style. Then, you can go all over Zamora Street where you will find beautiful buildings, shops and cafés until you get to the Main Square.

We strongly recommend to visit the church of the Jesuits (“Clerecía”, with the climbing to its tower “Scala Coeli”), and the Old and New Cathedral, with the climbing to each of the respective towers, “Scala Coeli” et “ Ieronimus ”; the University; the Art Nouveau and Art Déco (Casa Lis), where at the moment there is an exposition about Gaudi; the “Huerto de Calixto y Melibea”, the “Monastery of Saint-Esteban”

As for the churches, we recommend to visit the “Iglesia de San Marcos” (Calle Zamora, next to the “Puerta de Zamora”, the “Iglesia de Santa María Magdalena” (at the Calle Zamora too, a little more away on the right side, towards Plaza Mayor), and the “Iglesia de la Purísima” (it is the first church I have visited where the paintings were done before the church, being the walls the frame of the paintings).

If you have still time, there are other monuments, like the “Convento (convent) de las Dueñas”, the “Convento de Santa Clara”,…

And you could use our apartment as a base camp to visit very beautiful villages around (La Alberca, Miranda and San Martín del Castañar, Mogarraz, Candelario, Hervás, Ciudad Rodrigo ...)

If you come by car, it is possible to let it in a spacious parking space, in a large car park: 11 euros / day (optional, it´s five minutes walking from the apartment). To unload and load the baggage, you can let the car the indispensable time close to the entrance door (we are in a blue zone). From Madrid-Barajas Airport there is a bus that gets you to the Salamanca Bus Station, twenty minutes away from the apartment. The train station is twenty minutes away (Vialia), or ten minutes (halt of La Alamedilla). The closest taxi rank, Puerta de Zamora, is one minute walking.

The entry as a rule will be from 4pm on, but if it were free, it would be possible to do the check-in before (Please consult with us).

It is neither allowed to smoke, nor to bring pets, nor to use it for parties or celebrations.

If you are not at the apartment, or if the weather is bad, windows should be shut.

The check-out will be before 12 am but if there aren't any guests coming in that day it will be possible to leave later.

Cleaning is included in the price, but the apartment must be tidy and rubbish must be taken out before leaving.

We hope our guests behave as they were in their own house, doing a normal use of it and respecting the neighbors and avoiding making noise at night.

Any cost due to not respecting these rules or advices will be on your charge.

Excellent Stay!
We stayed at Pablo’s and Belėn’s apartment in June 2018. From the very beginning when we were inquiring about the apartment, they were very quick to respond to all our questions. We were very pleased with the accommodations. The apartment was well equipped and super clean. The apartment was equipped with many amenities such as american size refrigerator, a washing machine, AC/heater, induction stove, juicer, coffee maker, etc. The location was perfect. We had a supermarket and tapas bar less than a block away. It was very centrally located. We didn’t need a car as we walked everywhere Both Pablo and Belėn were very hospitable. Pablo had prepared a map with an itinerary to visit all the places of interest in Salamanca and nearby villages. They also provided us with lots of information about restaurants, bakeries, etc. Belėn personally delivered cake for us to enjoy with the coffee and milk they have brought us. We really enjoyed staying in Pablo’s and Belėn’s place. They were super nice and welcoming. We felt like we were family to them. They were very attentive to all of our needs. We can’t wait to go back and stay at their apartment again.

Convenient and well-appointed apartment made for a pleasant Salamanca stay
Alot of thought packed into a small space- from a well-stocked kitchen- to adequate outlets to additional lighting, window sill clothes line. We appreciated all those details. Pablo was extremely attentive to our needs and helpful before our arrival and during our stay. It's obvious he knows and loves Salamanca and wants to share that interest with guests. Location was very convenient and all nights were quiet Four stars because while the bed is comfy, it is small matrimonial size and the shower is teeny tiny. We are not big people and made it work. Would recommend this apartment to others.

Incredible Stay!
Our family of three stayed at this property for just over one month and cannot say enough about the incredible service we received from Pablo and Belen! From the moment we arrived It was clear that this couple loves what they do and takes great pride and care in their property. Belen has taken great care to ensure the functionality of the space within the flat, and while there are two rooms, it feels as if it were much larger. We enjoyed the new appliances, the beautiful bathroom and lots of closet space. We were able to store all of our belongings (traveling for a month with a 9 month old doesn't make for light travel) with ease. Above all, Pablo and Belen ensured that we not only had everything to make ourselves comfortable, but also had added several items needed to make our stay with a baby even easier. In addition, they provided a lesson on how to make a Spanish tortilla, helped acquaint us with the tapas culture, and even were gracious enough to help refine our Spanish. After a month, I can say that we have new, great friends in Salamanca, whose graciousness and desire for hospitality is absolutely unmatched. Within a 10 minute walk of anything of importance in Salamanca (Plaza Mayor, the train station, Universidad de Salamanca, bus station, etc). An absolute recommendation to anyone traveling to Salamanca for a stay of any length!
