About this property

Beautiful large property with private heated pool


This is a truly stunning detached, family house. It has been designed with care, and decorated to a very high standard. It is located approx 5 minutes away (by car) from Calheta beach. And although there are a number of local amenities car hire is recommended, in order to take full advantage of all there is to see and do on this beautiful island.

The nearest supermarket and traditional Madeiran restaurant is an about a 20 min walk from the house.

The house comprises of:
3 double bedrooms and 3 bathrooms (1 with bath, 1 with shower, 1 wc)
Open plan kitchen and large living room
Large balcony
Bespoke BBQ/outdoor kitchen/dining area.
Large private swimming pool . Pool can be heated free only until April from May and onwards is €30 a day , if needed message the host is optional . views across the Madeiran countryside.

Ideal for families with children (of all ages) and couples.

IN DETAIL:
The house has a fully equipped kitchen with dishwasher .
washing machine and tumble dryer (in laundry area).
Bedding (sheets, blankets, pillows) are included.
Bathroom towels are also included, as are beach towels for the pool.
There is an Iron, ironing board, and hairdryer.
The house also has a built-in garage with space for 2-3 cars.
Alarm system and outside cctv

EXCEPTIONS:
No smoking inside the property, please. Only outside.
Sorry no pets. No parties.

Please note that the house max capacity is only for six people . Invite friends or family not included on the booking fee apply €70 per night.
Inviting friends or family only to spend the day are allowed .

This home and property was beautifully appointed and very comfortable. A car is a must but the location is great for both hikes in the Rabacal area and trips to lovely Calheta and other towns along the south-west coast. We would highly recommend this property for either traveling friends or families.

Beautiful large home in Calheta (Western side of island) with huge kitchen and pool. Kitchen well stocked for cooking. Plenty of room for family of 4. Nice porch with view. Washer/dryer (dryer limited). Amazingly hilly, windy roads so you really need a rental car. I would arrive during the day as difficult to find at night. Local town has several restaurants on the Marina and large supermarket. Pool heater was broken but it was rainy so not sure we would have used pool much anyway. Easy to get to hiking though a longer drive to Eastern or Northern shore hikes (1 1/2 hours). If you are looking for large entire home with nice views away from the city this is a great place!

Scenic location in residential neighborhood, but within very short driving distance of restaurants,

Host is very welcoming and attentive. Clean, spacious, modern accomodations. Recommend car. Scenic and quiet neighborhood. Great " base camp" to explore the entire island. Stayed for the full month of May. An amazing experience!

Perfect stay on Madeira

There is not much left to say. The house is gorgeous, clean and perfectly furnished, nothing is missing. The pool is also beautiful and very clean, in addition it is quiet and the view is incredibly beautiful. Also the owner and her brother are very friendly and accommodating.

Just wonderful!

Beautiful villa, lovely views and (after the scary hairpins) a great road network that makes the whole island accessible. We had a fabulous stay and were sorry to come home, but we will be back! Must mention the really good communication with Ana, who was a pleasure to deal with. A car is a must, possibly tricky for toddlers in the grounds, but a real delight for anyone wanting to explore the lovely island from a really comfortable base. Ana, thank you for letting us stay in your lovely house!

Beautiful house

From Day 1 communications with Ana and her brother were fantastic. We were able to check in early and Duarte showed us the house and how things worked . The photos do not convey how spacious and beautifully furnished the house is . The outdoor kitchen is magnificent . The pool was cold- as knew it would be - but we swam several times and loved it . The listing makes it clear the pool is not heated - so we were prepared. Ana is absolutely delightful to communicate with . The community are friendly - a lovely lady tends her vegetables next door and we managed to communicate by smiles lots of gestures etc . If you want to be in a rural but not isolated position , with Kestrels , Buzzards and Swifts for company , but within easy reach of facilities - don't hesitate to book this property . Beautiful flowers , cake , fruit and Madeira wine were left to welcome us . Thankyou Ana - We love your house .

Villa mit Pool und Garten

Alles wie beschrieben, freundlicher Empfang durch Duarte, alles sehr sauber und sehr gepflegt und gut ausgestattet, Garten und Pool sind sehr schön. Die Lage ist sehr ruhig mit schöner Aussicht und praktisch für alle Unternehmungen im Westen der Insel. Wir haben den Aufenthalt sehr genossen! Unkomplizierter Check-out mit Schlüsselbox. Würden das Haus jederzeit wieder buchen und empfehlen es gerne weiter.

Zwei wunderschönen Wochen

Das Haus ist genau, wie auf dem Internet. Die Lage ist ruhig. Der Strand von Calheta ist mit dem Auto in wenigen Minuten erreichbar. Die schöne Levadas sind auch in der Nähe, genau wie die Restaurants und die Supermärkte. In jedem Fall soll man ein Auto mieten. Das Haus ist sehr gepflegt und geschmackvoll mobiliert. Alle Geräte funktionieren reibungslos. Die Matratzen sind sehr bequem. Als Willkommensgeschenk gab es eine Flasche von Madeirawein, frische Früchte und ein wunderschönen Blumenstrauss.

Super Objekt für die ganze Familie

Wunderbares Ferienhaus

Ein rundum tolles Haus. Besonders gut hat uns die gut ausgestattete Aussenküche und der Pool gefallen. Insgesamt ist das Haus sehr gut ausgestattet, sodass man einen entspannten Urlaub, ohne Einschränkungen, verbringen kann. Besonders gut fanden wir die sehr große Dusche und den überraschend guten Wasserdruck. Alle Elektrogeräte sind auf dem neusten Stand der Technik, ausser vielleicht die Filterkaffeemaschine. Es ist ein Stabmixer und ein Standmixer vorhanden. Auch sind Handtücher und Strandtücher in ausreichender Menge vorhanden. Ein weiterer Pluspunkt ist die sehr freundliche und zuvorkommende Vermieterin, die jederzeit ansprechbar ist. Vom Balkon hat man eine grandiose Aussicht auf Calheta und das Meer. Wir hatten wirklich eine schöne Zeit!

Traumhafter Urlaub

Ich glaube wir hatten schon lange nicht mehr so ein liebevoll eingerichtetes und sauberes Ferienhaus. Normalerweise muss ich immer erstmal etwas putzen, bevor ich mich wohlfühle. Hier war alles super sauber und der Urlaub konnte sofort beginnen. Das Haus ist wunderschön, der Blick auf das Meer und den Pool ein Traum. Wir konnten im Oktober in den Pool, ist aber dann schon ein bisschen kalt. Trotzdem toll!! Mit Mietwagen konnten wir vom Haus aus alles super erreichen und wir haben tolle Touren gemacht. Die Zimmer sind großzügig und die Sommerküche ein Traum. Lediglich das Bett hätten wir uns etwas größer gewünscht. 1,40 ist dann doch ein bisschen schmal, wenn man aus dem Teenageralter raus ist. Trotzdem war auch hier alles bestückt mit sauberer und sehr einladender Wäsche. Wir kommen wieder....bestimmt!!!!

Luxury place to switch off

Easy enough to get to property from airport in rentacar. Don't forget lights in tunnels!! Was met with a smile and took car into what I soon started to call "the batcave". There are no bats, just think parking inside with steps to main areas. Property has all you need to eat, drink, sleep, swim, cleanse, chill and be a base to explore the amazing island. A few doors away is Antonio Dias, who will taxi you when drinking.. go hang with locals, drink ponchas and eat snacks at Poncha do Lombo doutor. Up the hill is new (2021) restaurant Calheta Green which has great views and food including their chicken version of Espetada. You can also find great levada walks... paying 5 euro for walkme app is good investment... we did a circular route ( i think 6.3) which avoided tourists, but did combine with hitting 25 fontes which was touristville. Coral beer is ubiquitous and probably best for marinating meat. Fortunately there is a startup brewery, Almirante do Atlântico a walk away, after which can grab a bite at As Fontes do Horácio. Will be back. Pictures don't do property justice, was lovely and clean, great to have big fridge freezer with ice machine and I do love induction hobs. Garden was beautiful and pool lovely. Thx Ana.
