About this property

Romantic Attic on the Waterfront

Your fully independent apartment (own entrance, 80 m2), rural location in the green countryside between The Hague, Leiden and Delft, is located along the former towpath of the Vliet, a small road now mainly in use for walking and cycling.

Your renovated attic is located under the sloping roof of a former farmhouse. The bright and sunny rooms with two large dormers are well equipped. Total floor area approximately 80 m2 .
You can reach your apartment through a private entrance in the former cowshed via a staircase (16 steps).
Composition of the house: a small hall, bathroom with shower and toilet, staircase of 4 steps, living room with large dormer, large bedroom (double bed 160x200) and smaller bedroom (single bed 90x 200, wardrobe), both with view on the water and pastures, well equipped kitchen with dining table (4 chairs) and a beautiful view from a large dormer.

NB1. Double floors: litte noise disturbance between upstairs and downstairs.
NB2. Due to the stairs the apartment might no be suitable for people with a limited mobility.

Your attic is fully insulated and equipped with every convenience, including central heating, TV with Google Chromecast and Digitenne, coffee filtermachine and Nespresso machine, microwave and electric oven, free wifi internet access etc.

Outside your own entrance you find a small, cozy sitting area furnished with chairs and a small table. An ideal place to have a nice breakfast to enjoy in our own private garden. There is also free parking space for your car available (see picture).Bicycles can be parked in the stable under lock and key. Electrical outlets are available for charging.

Although situated in the countryside, your apartment is in the vicinity of interesting cities like Delft, Leiden, The Hague, Gouda, Rotterdam and Amsterdam.
Both Leiden and The Hague, with many museums, attractions and shopping areas are easily accessible by public transport (bus stop 800 meters, regular services).
OV chip cards available.

In Leidschendam ( at 5 km): a direct metro connection to Rotterdam Central Station.
The Westfield Mall of the Netherlands: 8 km.

Sehr schöne und saubere Ferienwohnung, nette und zuvorkommenden Gastgeber, mitten in der Natur, direkt am Kanal mit Sesselblick auf dem Kanal, Boote und die untergehende Sonne. Eine tolle, geräumige Ferienwohnung in einer schönen und ruhigen Umgebung.So herzliche und hilfsbereite Gastgeber wie Ed und Sonja hatten wir noch nirgends. Wir haben uns sehr willkommen gefühlt!Die Wohnung ist mit allem ausgestattet, was man braucht. Besonders nützlich ist, dass zwei Nahverkehrs-Bezahlkarten (OV-chipkaart) zur Ausstattung gehören. So lässt sich einfach der ÖPNV für alle Strecken nutzen, die man nicht mit dem Rad zurücklegen will.Vielen Dank für die schöne Zeit!

Diese wunderschöne Unterkunft lässt keinen Wunsch offen. Ausstattung und Sauberkeit kann man nicht mehr toppen.Die Lage ist der ipunkt des ganzen.Ed ist ein toller Gastgeber gewesen der jeden Wunsch berücksichtigte.Vom direkt am Haus vorbeiführenden Radweg kann man z.B.Leiden,Den Hag und Gouda leicht erreichein.Der vorbeiführende Kanal läd zum "Bootegucken" ein. Toller Aufenthalt direkt am Wasser

Wir haben die Dachwohnung direkt am Wasser geliebt! Es fehlte rein gar nichts und der Blick aus dem Schlafzimmer war herrlich. Vor dem Haus führt eine Fahrrad- und Motorroller-Straße vorbei, geweckt wird man eher von Ruderern, dem Plätschern des Wassers und Vogelgezwitscher. Ed und Sonja sind die besten Gastgeber, die wir uns vorstellen können. Von der Wohnung aus kann man in die wunderschönen Städte Leiden, Delft und Den Haag radeln, fast immer durchs Grüne. Auch das Dünengebiet Meijendel und den Strand kann man mit dem Fahrrad erreichen. Wir haben unseren Aufenthalt sehr genossen!

Sehr gute Ferienwohnung

Die Wohnung ist sehr gut ausgestattet und mit Liebe zum Detail eingerichtet. Es fehlte uns an nichts. Ed und Sonja sind herzliche Menschen und sehr hilfsbereit. Die Lage war für uns hervorragend. Zum einen naturumgeben und zum anderen zentral gelegen (wir waren mit Bus und Bahn in Den Haag, Leiden, Delft, Amsterdam, Katwijk am Zee). Die öffentlichen Verkehrsmitteln sind kurzwegig zu erreichen. Wir haben uns rundum wohlgefühlt und empfehlen die Ferienwohnung gerne weiter.

Sehr entspannter Urlaub

Wir haben zwei Wochen in der ausgesprochen gemütlichen Ferienwohnung unter dem Dach verbracht. Diese haben wir absolut sauber und perfekt ausgestattet vorgefunden. Die angekündigte Waschmaschine kann nach Rücksprache genutzt werden, es handelt sich um die private Maschine der Vermieter. Direkt vor der Wohnung befinden sich ein von vielen Passanten genutzter Fuß- und Radweg sowie der Kanal. Der Kontakt zu Sonja und Ed war äußerst freundlich und absolut problemlos. Wir fühlten uns sehr wohl und willkommen.

Alles wie beschrieben, Einrichtung liebevoll, Betten super. Sehr nette Vermieter. Wir waren ohne Fahrrad da, die Bushaltestelle ist 10 min entfernt, von da erreicht man direkt Den Haag und Leiden Station. ÖPNV super auch mit Umsteigen. Ed hat auch schon geladene Chipkarten parat. Und abends am Kanal mit Gartenstühlen sitzen hat schon was. Sehr zu empfehlen.

Sehr schöne Ferienwoche

Die Ferienwohnung von Ed und Sonja ist ein Traum. Sie liegt gleichzeitig auf dem Land (gleich am Rijn-Schiekanaal) und doch ganz nahe am Zentrum des Geschehens. Mit den von Ed und Sonja geliehenen Fahrrädern waren wir im Nu in Den Haag oder in Leiden und Katwijk. Die Wohnung selbst ist großzügig und perfekt ausgestattet. Das Bett im Hauptschlafzimmer ist groß und gemütlich - nicht zu weich und nicht zu hart. Die Küche ist vollständig ausgestattet und lässt keinen Wunsch übrig. Da Ed hervorragend Deutsch spricht, war auch die Verständigung überhaupt kein Problem. Alles in allem können wir die Ferienwohnung nur empfehlen. Hartelijk bedankt, Ed en Sonja, en tot ziens.

Haus am Kanal

Wir haben eine angenehme Woche in dieser gut ausgestatteten Wohnung direkt am Kanal verbracht. Mit dem Fahrrad sind die Städte Leiden, den Haag , Delft und der Strand in Wassenaar sehr gut zu erreichen. Die Vermieter sind sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit.

Schöne ruhige Ferienwohnung mit vielen Ausflugsmöglichkeiten

Ed und Sonja haben uns sehr herzlich aufgenommen! Die Ferienwohnung ist liebevoll ausgestattet mit allem, was man braucht. Abends kann man vom Schlafzimmerfenster den Sonnenuntergang über dem Kanal sehen. In der direkten Umgebung gibt viele Fahrrad- und Wanderwege, im See ganz in der Nähe kann man schwimmen. Mit dem Bus, Tram und Zug oder auch mit dem Fahrrad sind das Meer und Städte wie Den Haag, Leiden, Delft, Rotterdam, Gouda oder Amsterdam leicht erreichbar. Wir haben den Urlaub sehr genossen und können es nur empfehlen. Danke :-)

Wunderbare Ferientage

Wir wurden von Ed und Sonya herzlich empfangen. Wir bewohnten den Dachboden mit herrlichem Blick auf den Rijn-Schi-Kanal, der gleich vor dem Haus verläuft. Wir erreichten die Nordsee, Den Haag, Delft und Leiden mit dem Fahrrad. Radfahren in Holland ist traumhaft. Man fährt fast nie auf der Straße und hat fast immer Vorfahrt. Amsterdam und Gouda sind nicht weit. Auch die Floriade war toll. Jederzeit wieder.

Sommerurlaub in schöner, ruhiger Gegend

Sofort haben wir uns wie zuhause gefühlt, denn die Wohnung ist ausgestattet mit jeglichem Details, eben wie zuhause, z.B. im Bad: ausreichend Handtücher, Toilettenpapier, Shampoo, Seife, Taschentücher u.v.m. Auch in der Küche ist wirklich alles, was man braucht. Ed und seine Frau Sonja haben, wie uns berichtet, für ihre Urlaubsgäste einige Tage "probegewohnt". Deshalb diese angenehmen Details. Der Standort des Hauses ist für Fahrradtouren prima. Mit dem Rad ist man sowieso auf kürzeren Wegen unterwegs als mit dem Auto. Wir hatten zwei angenehme Wochen und haben die Wohnung und die Gegend in sehr guter Erinnerung.

Holland at its best.

Wir wurden mit großer Herzlichkeit empfangen. Wir fanden die Umgebung und das Haus so wie beschrieben vor. Die Kombination von Grün und Wasser vor den Fenstern verschafft einem sofort eine gute Urlaubsstimmung. Die Ausstattung des Hauses bist die beste, die wir je hatten. Ed hat hier in mühevoller Kleinarbeit eine perfekte Ausstattungsliste erarbeitet. Hinzu kam dass er uns jederzeit behilflich war. Für unsere Radtouren kam uns das holländische Knotenpunktsystem entgegen und für Bustouren die bereitgestellten Fahrkarten. Holland at its best. Wir würden gerne wieder kommen.

Wunderschöne romantische Unterkunft - Zentraler Ausgangspunkt für ihre Erkundungstouren

Freundlicher, netter und zuvorkommender Empfang. Ed & Sonja helfen bei allen Problemen. Wohnung bietet wirklich alles, was wir für einen 14-tätigen Urlaub benötigt wird. Völlige Ruhe- ein purer Genuss. Fahrradtouren nach Leiden, Leidschendam, Delft oder ans Meer beginnen unmittelbar an der Ferienwohnung. Ed bietet auch zwei einfache Fahrrader an. Urlaub im Vlietland mit dem Fahrrad

Sehr zuvorkommende hilfsbereite Gastgeber. Die Wohnung ist grösser als erwartet. Alles vorhanden und sehr sauber und gepflegt. Wir haben uns weit weg von Zuhause hier zuhause und sehr wohl gefühlt Die Umgebung ideal zum Radfahren .
