Very centrally located. Very quiet. Property managers excellent.
We are an older couple who believe that the only way to really see a city and enjoy its culture and architecture and life of the people who live there is to walk its streets. This apartment is wonderfully located in a "real" Roman neighborhood with the parish church and piazza on one end of the street and the ancient Forum and Colosseum and Trajan's Market and Campidoglio on the other.
The apartment is near to many of the most visited sites in Rome and walking distance of a great many others. It is also very easy to access the Metro, buses, trams, and Termini Station. There are small shops all around for any food needs, open quite late in the evening, one covered market with a variety of shops just a block away on the via Baccina, and a Meta, a larger grocery, on via Cavour. Many restaurants and bars are close by, with Italian and other types of food.
It was amazingly quiet in the evenings. We almost never heard the neighbors or any street noises, and, since Rome is a city that never sleeps, this is really astounding. We are not the type of people who look for a vacation rental with no noise, but we could not help commenting on how peaceful it was. Since it opens on to a patio rather than the streets, noise is blocked out.
The patio around which the apartment sits is lovely, green, and and cool, the perfect place to relax in the evening.
We felt very safe, both in the apartment and walking around. There were always people around on the streets, sometimes a great many, and we never had a moment's concern.
The property managers are great. Andreas, who met us at the apartment, had all the information we needed and presented it well. Lele, who handled our booking, was very efficient and answered any questions very quickly.
We would gladly stay here again!
