Shaftoe Mews is a beautifully presented farmhouse-style cottage located in the lovely village of Haydon Bridge, in Northumberland. It boasts four double bedrooms, one situated in the eaves on the second floor, sleeping eight people in total. There is also a bathroom and an open-plan living room with kitchen, dining area and sitting area with multi-fuel stove. To the exterior is a sitting area and off-road parking for one car. Shaftoe Mews is a wonderful getaway for touring North Pennines, Northumberland National Park and the city of Newcastle. Please be aware of low beams and sloped ceilings

There are some delightful walks in the area, but perhaps the loveliest are at Allen Banks - 194 acres of woodland and riverside paths just 3 miles from Haydon Bridge. Amenities in the village include a railway station, a variety of shops, pubs, a local tourist information centre, churches and riverside walks.
