Ask a questionAbout Mr Maurice Cooper
A collection of teapots begun in 1974, when Ronald Hooper, a previous owner of my business 'Bygone Beautys' came across a special teapot. In 1992, we joined forces to create 'Bygone Beautys' and continued from there to grow the collection. This Treasured Teapot Museum reflects and preserves the diversity of Australian tea-drinking culture. We have now become the largest private teapot collection in the world and have a reputation in the Blue Mountains. In 2009, 2010 and 2011, Bygone Beautys have been awarded the Hall of Fame award for both people’s choice as well as community contribution on behalf of CR Daniel Myles (Mayor of Blue Mountains City Council), Dave Garner (President, BIZNET) and Randall Walker (Chair, BMLOT).
Mr Maurice Cooper purchased this Cottage in 1994
Why Mr Maurice Cooper chose Bullaburra
This property is quiet and luxurious and provides the guest with an incredible experience of the Blue Mountains National Park.
What makes this Cottage unique
This Blue Mountains cottage is approximately 90 kilometers from Sydney. Bronte Cottage is set in 1 1/2 acres of beautiful gardens and bush land, conveniently located for bush-walking, close to all Blue Mountains scenic attractions. The cottage also has access via a short walkway to the Common (4 acres of established gardens and two acres of easily accessed bush land). Shared by four other cottages, within the Common is a duck pond with koi carp and a full size tennis court (rackets are available within the cottage).
