Dartmouth Mountain Retreat is located in the centre of Dartmouth. It is approx. 60 minutes from Albury/Wodonga along a lovely drive through the countryside.
Dartmouth Mountain Retreat is only minutes' walk from the local Hotel where you can order a meal or have a drink. Have a game of pool. Take the family enjoy a great time. There is a small grocery store and tourist info Centre, in the same complex. A recently added small waterpark has been added for the enjoyment of children
A lovely green space is situated across the road from the house, watch the kids at play. Get out with your mates and hit a cricket ball or kick a footy. You can cook a BBQ on the front deck whilst enjoying the fun across the road.
The view encompasses the breathtaking mountains which surround Dartmouth Village.
Fish, bushwalk, kick back and relax, do whatever you want.
Dartmouth Mountain Retreat has all you need for a comfortable, enjoyable stay.

A large fully self-contained timber house with all the necessary facilities for a weekend or holiday stay.
The property is well suited to groups or families.
The kitchen was tastefully renovated in July 2024 to include a dishwasher and updated fixtures and fittings to improve your stay.
Main bedroom has an ensuite and queensize bed. Three other bedrooms with 2 single beds in each this allows for occupancy of 8.

Dartmouth Dam, situated in the mountains of north eastern Victoria, is one of the state's trout fishing Meccas.
The scenery is magnificent and the fish plentiful.
The dam is very large, very deep, steep sided and totally surrounded by forest.

Capacity:- 4,000,000 mi
Catchment Area:- 3600 sq. km.
Shoreline:- 150km
Drive over the top of the wall and read the history of how the weir was built, have a picnic or a comfort stop.

Quick Trip to Dartmouth
Thank you the property was clean and tidy and very comfortable - BBQ tea on one night and quick walk to the pub on night 2. Showers hard to regulate but good pressure. Will definately recommend.

Fishing trip
The location of the house in the center of Dartmouth yet close to the river and lake. Beds very comfortable, large fridge, toaster could have been for 4 toasts, but in the end we were on a fishing trip. We will definitely be back in 2-3 months.

Very disappointing with the lack of cleanliness due to mouse droppings in & around appliances, bench tops etc.
I spent my time (which I should not have had to do) cleaning the microwave, cutlery etc just so we could use them.
Tried contacting the owner but no response 😡

Dartmouth fishing trip
Property was comfortable but a major problem exists with hot water service. Only way to ignite gas hot water was to turn tap on in ensuite so that you could get hot water in kitchen and other bathroom.

Good, but needs some repairs and additions.
While we enjoyed our stay, we did find it in need of maintenance: Several doors would not shut due to not fitting In the door-jambs, cupboard space in the kitchen was inadequate for food storage, and the on-suite to the master bedroom could do with a small bench or shelf for placement of toiletries. Otherwise, fine.

Lovely and peaceful
perfect for our requirements - a low key getaway for a couple of nights and a great base to explore some of the surrounding country.
The cold water tap in the ensuite needs attention. A plumber could easily remedy this. It twists is use. Just needs to be tightened underneath.
