We had a fantastic stay in Split. We were met by Zana outside of the apartment and she showed us where everything was. The apartment was lovely and in a very convenient location. There was a Spar nearby so we could get groceries to put in the fridge. I was most thankful the air conditioning worked well, as it was very hot outside!
I couldn't recommend this property more - everything was perfect. Thank you!
Home Away From Home
This flat was amazingly centrally located. It was everything that we were looking for in a rental. All the major sights, Riva, Marjan Hill were within short walking distances.
There was a feel of living like a local - could shop for groceries at the Konsum, get fresh baked goods and eat amazing homemade ice cream at ‘Ela’s Icecream and more’ right below the building. The flat was very well equipped but having a drying rack for clothes and towels would have been the icing on the cake!
The smell of freshly baked goodies early in the morning woke us everyday!
As expected, there was a lot of noise from late night revellers but most of it was diminished by shutting the windows.
However the noise did not bother us ......we knew what we were getting into by choosing this flat & after all it was a small price to pay for living in such an amazing flat!
Great location and well maintained apt.
Owner was very accommodating!!
Lovely 1 bedroom apartment, bright, spotless, great location.
Excellent correspondence with Iva from the first email. Arrived early and was greeted by Zana who was very helpful. Apartment was bright, spotless and very comfortable - loved the old exposed walls - and right on the corner of the square, excellent location - seconds away from all the attractions, restaurants, bars, cafes, bakeries, pubs, grocery stores, and minutes away from the ferry and bus terminals - great to wake up to bread baking from the bakery next door. Would highly recommend. Thank you.
Thank you very much for your kind review. We hope to see you again in Split! I
We loved our apartment. It has old world charm with modern amenities. It was clean and had everything we needed. Hostess was helpful and charming.
Extremely noisy unfortunately
This small apartment has been nicely renovated and is presented well. The owner was good to deal with pre arrival and the local manager was helpful and the apartment had lots of small useful touches. The kitchen was small but well equipped. The apartment has 2 main issues. Firstly, the noise. A restaurant / bar almost underneath the bedroom window was recently renovated and expanded. It was quite popular and there was considerable noise from it nearly every night until very late. Also considerable noise from late night revellers in general in the small laneways and in the mornings from the mechanised carts delivering produce to shops. Other main issue is the tiny bathroom, which was incredibly small and quite awkward to use, particularly accessing the shower and I am an average sized person. No shelves or anywhere to put toiletries.
No way this apartment could comfortably accommodate 4 adults. I would market it as 2 people Max and replace the large, uncomfortable sofa with something smaller and get a smaller dining table over to the side of the room. This would at least create more space in the small dining /lounge area. It would be a shame to remove the washing machine from the bathroom as it was useful, although as the dryer component wasn’t working we had to hang the washing around the furniture. Needs to be some sort of shelving added if possible. Really nothing you can do about the noise except use ear plugs.
Thank you very much for taking time to submit the review.
We are sorry to hear you had trouble with the noise.
Our apartment is very centrally located, and like in any centar of the city, some noise is to be expected.
You mentioned that the majority of noise comes from the restaurant across the street. This restaurant is actually a four stars hotel with the restaurant. It is very interesting that this same hotel across the street chargess double or even triple the prices we charge for the bedrooms which are half the size of our apartment!
Our apartment is marketed as 1 bedrooms + pull put sofa, and 90 percent of our guests are only 2 persons, just like you.
The Croatian Tourism Ministry gave us the licence to accommodate up to 4 persons, but we do believe it is much better suited for 2 persons.
However, if 4 persons want to spend some time in our apartment, we will continue to accept these guests.
Many of our guests appreciate the extra touches we provide, including the brand new air condition in rooms just purchased in 2018, which allows you to shut the windows and shutters, and block many of outside noise.
The size of the bathroom is small indeed, but equiped with fresh towels, toilet paper, soap, and washer/dryer unit.
None of our guests complained about the dryer, and we are really glad to read this review to test the dryer, and fix it if not working properly. I just wish the guests actually let us know if something is not working properly during, not after their stay, and we will always try to fix the problem as soon as possible as the comfort of our guests is very important to us.
Please do not hesitate to contact us during your stay if not happy with something in the apartment.
The reason why we bought the brand new sofa bed in 2018 is because many guests wanted more comfortable sofa bed for lounging in the living room, but also easier system to pull-out if extra person needs to spend few nights.
We certainly appreciate all your suggestions, and we will continue to improve.
Apartments great location is close to nightlife, entertainment, shops, historic places, Diocletians Palace, sea, and beaches.Right next to the building and the apartment, there are numerous churches, museum, shops, restaurants, Diocletians Palace. Imagine strolling down narrow streets of downtown Split, checking the old Roman walls of the emperor Diocletian.
Or you prefer a shopping spree. Split has a great selection of small shops. Traditional jewelry shops are worthy of your visit, and the selection of gold jewelry is great.
Hungry? No problem. Local produce and fish markets are steps away for your local food sampling. Various restaurants offer convenience for those who want to spend more time exploring and sightseeing, and less time in the kitchen.
Do not forget to visit the port, and watch boats sail off in the sunset. Take sailing trips to local islands, visit the local beaches (Bacvice) and dip your feet in the water, or visit Marjan hill for perfect picture moment.
