About Dianne Wilson
I am a retired secondary school teacher. I purchased the house in 2003 with the ambition of setting up a small language school, but decided holiday rental was a lot less stress than setting up a new business. I have enjoyed the interaction with my guests so much, that I have no intention of changing to original plan. I also married and moved onto 5 acres out of town. I love it in Moonbah, but years are catching up and will need to move to town.
Dianne Wilson purchased this House in 2003
Why Dianne Wilson chose Jindabyne
I chose this property because it had lots of bedrooms and space to make a classroom. Being able to walk to shops would be useful for young people visiting from overseas. I have since purchased the second house on the strata, Aalen 2, and intend putting new living area on top to pick up northerly lake views for my husband and myself, then sublet the downstairs 3 Bedrooms as BnB
What makes this House unique
Aalen 1 is really great for a large group of people, all ages. 2 separate large living areas means not everyone has to watch the same stuff on TV, or be sitting chatting. People can choose. The balcony is also a nice area to socialise. So close to CBD means going out for dinner and a beverage or few, will not create a problem getting back to bed in public transport deficient Jindabyne.

The place was great! Clean, loads of essentials already there, big and spacious and so close to the town centre.
Thanks Chris. I am happy you enjoyed using the property.
Fantastic house for a large group in a great location
Great house for a large group with two living areas and spacious rooms. We were a group of 12 and never felt like we were short of space. House was very tidy and neatly presented.
The house is in an excellent location. Being within walking distance to the main shops and restaurants made it easy to duck out for provisions or a coffee in the morning.
Friendly owner who is very responsive to queries and easy to book with,
Would highly recommend staying here.
Brilliant house for a large group. Spotlessly clean on arrival.
Thank you for a great review. Hope you and your group are continuing to enjoy your motorbike adventure.
Warm, plenty of room, close to town. Perfect spot
My family loved their stay at Aalen; it was so handy for all of them to be in one spot when they came to their brothers birthday.
Comfortable and warm on a very cold winters weekend!
Thank you for your warm words. I am glad you enjoyed the house, yes the location is a huge plus. Great that you had a lovely family reunion for a special birthday. Happy Birthday Pete.
Clean, tidy, spacious and just a short stroll to the village supermarket, restaurants and cafes.
Rooms were comfortable and adequately catered for our large group. We rented in summer and there was a nice breeze flowing through the house when we opened the balcony doors.
Definitely recommend staying here and will rent again
Thanks for the 5 star review. I am glad the house worked for you. The community certainly became excited by Tour de France - L'Etape Jindabyne. It is great to see summer bookings increasing over time. We have had 4 major cycling events (road touring and MTB) across 5 weekends. I am pleased the breeze worked for you, but for anyone reading this review, there are also 3 reverse cycle air conditioners in the property as a plan B. It can be quite warm down here in Summer.
Great for 2 families with extra room for friends
Friendly owner, easy to book with. The place was clean and comfortable, a great setup with 2 living areas so the kids could do their own thing. Plenty of room so friends could come too. Close to shops but quiet location. Great value.
Thanks for a great review. The space and location are what appeals to people most. When I purchased the property, it was set up illegally as three separate units. I have joined it all together to make one compliant property, that is why there is so much living space for the size of the building, and number of bedrooms. I think it works well for multiple family/friend bookings, as you pointed out.
Jindabyne is already well known as access point to Snowy Mountains snow sports in winter. It is becoming increasingly more popular as a destination for mountain bike and cycling enthusiasts, with an annual cycling event sponsered by Tour de France. Flat water sports such as water ski, wake board, sailing, windsurfing, and fishing continue to attract more and more visitors. Fly fishing lessons are available locally, so try your skill in the fresh mountain streams - stocked by local Gaden trout hatchery.
