'Poppy's', Rail Trail to Yea

Whether you are on foot, bike, horse or car, Poppy's is perfectly positioned as a stop along the trail or as a destination to leave the city behind and explore the Yea and Goulburn Valley.
This compact, light filled cottage with beautiful views is just 8.5km from the ever popular Yea township and is located on a working farm. It sits five hundred metres from the main homestead and conveniently at the top of the entrance road to ensure your privacy and easy access to the Great Victorian Rail Trail.
The cottage comprises kitchen, one bathroom and toilet, and two bedrooms, (one queen bed and two singles). The open plan living extends onto the veranda where you will find a bbq and outdoor table and chairs, an ideal spot to take in the views of the property and distant hills. Be prepared for the sight and sounds of Sheep, cattle and horses, along with the numerous species of native wild life, such as wombats, kangaroos, pelicans, ducks and hundreds of other birds.
Park your car or bikes under cover,- carport or shed, and for those on horseback a small paddock (no yards) abounding the house is for use. Further enquiries regarding this option should be made when considering your booking.
Whilst you are enjoying your private stay in this property the owner will be available via mobile or email should you have any questions regarding the use of the home or require local knowledge.

If the sounds of nature are what you’re after, this is the place for you. Private, with convenient access to the rail trail, clean, comfortable and relaxing in a delightful setting. We loved our stay here, it was everything we wanted. Highly recommended.

Greatly enjoyed our stay at Poppy’s. The location was amazing - remote and surrounded by rolling hills and cows. Amazing scenery. A very short drive to town and the rail trail (bike path) a very short walk/ride away. Properly was immaculate and as described. Vanessa was very contactable and helpful with everything. Would highly recommend.

Loved our stay at Poppy's. It's very peaceful with great views of the rolling hills and livestock. I had a relaxing walk along the rail trail with my puppy, just near the house. Hope we can stay there again.

Perfect little stay over

We stayed at Poppy’s as part of a road trip and loved it. The kids and dog loved running around the vast paddocks, it was peaceful and lovely. Close enough to Yea to make things easy. The cabin was warm and cosy. Communication with our host easy. Next time we’ll bring our bikes as the trail looked very inviting!
