About this property
Beautiful Aspen Cabin - Great Views, Great Location! Star Valley Ranch
This is a well stocked, beautifully decorated vacation cabin on the #1 Hole of the Aspen Hills Golf Course in Star Valley Ranch. Clean and comfortable, the cabin has amazing views of Star Valley and the Bridger-Teton Mountains. Star Valley WY is a jewel with breathtaking scenery, clean mountain air, friendly people, and outdoor activities year round. Golf, tennis, pickleball, swimming, fishing, hiking, horse-backing riding, and rafting are all nearby. During the winter months, there is a groomed sled run and cross-country skiing outside our door, and some of the best snowmobiling in the country down the road. Great location just an hour south of Jackson and Teton National Park.
TSVR Permit #: 711701
This chalet style home introduces a magnificent signature hole for Aspen Hills, and affords breathtaking views of both Star Valley and the rugged Bridger-Teton Mountains. Tennis and pickleball courts are just a short stroll from our front porch - we have tennis rackets in the house for your use. In winter months, the golf course makes a perfect launching spot for sledding, cross-country skiing, snowshoeing, and snowmobiling trips. Cedar Creek Park is directly across the course, settled in a beautiful picnic area with sand volleyball and a basketball court. During the winter, the basketball court is a popular spot for ice skating. Other family activities include world renown trout fishing on the Salt River, white water rafting on the Snake River, nine and eighteen hole golf, horseback riding, hiking, snowmobiling up the Grey’s River, and downhill skiing in nearby Jackson Hole. Shopping in Jackson always guarantees western fun, and the Jackson Hole rodeo is one of the best in Wyoming. The scenic drive to Grand Teton National Park takes about an hour and passes through the Snake River Canyon and Jackson Hole. Watch for mountain goats, and other big game along the way. Elk herds are prevalent in this area. You may even spot a Bald Eagle’s nest. Yellowstone is located about an hour north of Jackson through buffalo and antelope country.
Warm and comfortable, the house features three bedrooms, a bunk room, bathrooms on every floor, 2 fireplaces (one of which is a wood burning stove), family room, living room, and expansive decks. The lawn is contiguous with the golf course to include a mountain aviary with many charming birdhouses with mature blue spruce and aspen trees. The house has high-speed Internet and two flat screen TVs with Apple TV for online streaming.
The first floor is a warm, spacious combination home entertainment area with an adjoining bunkroom, LED HDTV, fireplace, comfortable seating, and refreshment area. The main living area is on the second level. The kitchen is well furnished for your cooking needs. A large dining table has seating for 6 with 3 more seats at the eating bar. The living and dining floors are circle-sawn hickory with area rugs. Enjoying the view on the spacious wraparound deck allows one or two families to eat and experience a cookout.
The large master bedroom is on the top floor. Sliding doors off the master bedroom lead to a covered deck with views of the mountains, valley, and golf course. Another top floor bedroom has a queen bed, bunk beds, and a LED HDTV. Both bedrooms have tall vaulted ceilings, large closets with shelves for storage, and ceiling fans. The newly remodeled top floor bath has an oversized European style shower and hickory vanity with beautiful granite countertop.
Star Valley Wyoming is truly a jewel with breathtaking scenery, clean mountain air, friendly people, and outdoor activities year round. We know you will enjoy the Aspenhaus and our little piece of paradise as much as we do!

About the host
Hosted by Robert and Karen Eckert

We fell in love with this area several years ago while staying in a VRBO vacation rental on a trip to see the National Parks. The people are friendly, the scenery is spectacular in all four seasons, and it is an outdoor-lovers paradise. We loved the area so much, we now live on a small ranch just a short distance from Star Valley Ranch. We purchased Aspen Haus in 2016 and it is our treasure to share with others visiting the area. If you are from the city and are tired of traffic congestion, you will enjoy Star Valley as there is no traffic, and only 1 traffic light in the entire valley! Come be our guest and enjoy some western hospitality, Wyoming style!
Why they chose this property
The Aspen Haus is truly beautiful, and its location on Star Valley Ranch is unbeatable. Star Valley Ranch is a wonderful family-oriented community with golf courses, swimming, tennis, basketball, volleyball, picnic areas, and lots of activities throughout the year. During the snow season, the golf courses are groomed for winter activities. The Aspen Hills Course, starting at the #1 tee, is the top of the sled run. The Cedar Creek Course has 6 miles of groomed trails for cross-country skiing and snow shoeing.
