The Crow’s Nest apartment sits on the coast of Chile overlooking the Pacific Ocean with views of the Coastal and Andes Mts. Playa La Boca and the Aconcagua River. Located in in the town of Con Con. Neighboring cities include Viña del Mar and Valparaiso. Access to the area either in your own car or by public transportation is quite efficient and easy.
The Nest is a very clean and secure apartment. It is the upper level of three of the Con Con Bay apartments. The Nest has access to the small pool located at this address. There is also a common garden area.
The kitchen is well equipped. There is a gas stove and oven, a microwave, good sized refrigerator, coffee maker and small toaster oven. There are utensils, plates, glasses and mugs in the cabinets.
The Nest has very high quality Wi Fi. the speed is 160 mbps. Many guests working online while staying here have found it more then adequate. In my experience staying in Hostels ands Hotels and other rentals in Chile most places have very basic Wi fi service. Wi Fi here is fast and secure.
The cable service has a large variety of channels including many of the movie and cultural channels. The service also has the option to change between English and Spanish. This is a higher level Cable Service isn't usually found in most Hotels, Hostels, vacation rentals here in Chile.
Towels and linens are provided.
The Nest has heaters for heat on cold days. The summer here on the coast of Chile can get quite warm but the ocean breezes and way the Nook is situated make air-conditioning unnecessary.
Apartment is very well insulated, with a northern exposure taking advantage of passive solar energy that keeps it cool in summer and warmer in winter.
There is one fenced parking spot located next to the building.
The Nest is a excellent apartment for using as a base and traveling the area or for hanging out. Enjoy the deck, watch the Ocean and beach and enjoy the day with a glass of fine Chilean wine or beer and maybe an Asado (BBQ).
Con Con has been a small fishing village since it's foundation in 1542. It has grown in the past years to become a small city yet it still maintains it's small town attitude and style in most areas. There are many possibilities for practicing different sports or going on different outings. Due to it's location it has access to the whole coast, the inland agricultural sector, and the Coastal and Andes Mountains. All within a days reach or less.
La Boca beach and the Aconcagua river outlet and estuary are a short walk. The area has great surfing and other aquatic sports. There are horses for rent at the beach.
