Just what we needed...
We loved the old row cottage and it met all our needs for our short stay in Sydney. In particular the wonderfully comfy beds and snowy while bed linen and towels were a real treat. Having access to a good quality washing machine and dryer was appreciated as well. Lots of lovely hot water for showering. Fantastic location to shops and railway station.
A cosy haven
This home provided us with a lovely, cosy haven amidst our busy Sydney holiday. We really enjoyed living small and minimalist - inspired us to come home and make our home more like this. It was also a great spot so close to King Street and it was really cool to be able to just walk up there. Thankfully we never had any parking trouble at the house.
We just felt really grateful to have this as our home for our holiday.
Lovely cottage in a great location. Easy walk to train. Would stay here again. Did experience problems with parking our car. Had to park a street away on arrival and on the last night spent quite a bit of time driving around to find a spot. There is no designated parking for the property. Keep in mind the cottage is also in the flight path of airport traffic. You do get use to it. Except for the parking, we had a lovely stay. Thank you Robyn.
Very central location, easy walking to local shops, bars, pubs and train. Cute cottage with ample room.
Across the road from the dog park, 50 metres to food, coffee and Newtown delights . . a lovely cottage offering all 'needs" for pup and I!
3 days in Sydney/Newtown
Thoroughly enjoyed my recent visit to the Newtown and Sydney area. The location was perfect as the property was within a short walk of where we needed to be. Also, minutes away from the train station and the numerous food and beverage choices in the area. You will not lack for great meal options in Newtown and I heartily would endorse the following: 3 Olives (Greek), Cuckoo Callay (Breakfast/Lunch and also conveniently at the train station entrance). And Brewtown (Coffee/Breakfast). The challenge was choosing our meal options with so many great ethnic food choices in the area and only a short 3 day visit.
As for the accommodations, the cottage met our expectations and was clean, comfortable and located in a fairly quite neighborhood with a popular dog park across the way. We slept really well (always important for us when traveling and especially after a 15+hour flight).
Street noise was minimal in the neighborhood (although you may hear the odd happy group walking by after an evening in Newtown. Overall, we will certainly consider a stay here when we return to Newtown in the New Year.
