The cottage was where the builder lived while he built the first house in the street in Port Kembla, the industrial heart of Wollongong. "Port" is a place the locals' love, and is full of people who are happy to share their suburb. There is a big artists community, and the owners are artists and musicians. The cottage has been recently renovated and has its own rose garden, small outdoor fireplace and is totally private. Port has three beaches, a great ocean swimming pool, is just south of Wollongong, and five minutes by car from the Nan Tien Temple. Within an hours drive of Berry, Kangaroo Valley, Kiama, Robertson and the Southern Highlands. Twenty minutes walk from Port Kembla railway station.

cozy, a welcoming host
Enjoyed the stay, would stay again, thanks Tim!
Beautiful cottage and lovely hosts - many thanks for making us feel so welcome and at home
Absolutely charming cottage and garden, loved the style and felt so comfortable and at home I will return any chance. Great location with short walk to town and beach or shopping centre of needed (of you’re a walker) great way to get to know port Kembla
A warm and friendly welcome to a quaint and private cottage. Relaxed in a peaceful garden cottage.
Comfortable - and well equiped with all we required.
It’s a snug and cosy cottage. We enjoyed the quaint homely feel. If you demand five star hotel accommodation this is not for you unless you can relax and go with the flow of cottage basics.
A generous bottle of wine. Welcoming dogs. And best of all our retired greyhound thoroughly enjoyed himself. We’d happily visit again.
Charming and comfortable
Tim was a friendly host and great communicator. The cottage was perfect for an overnight stay and the bed was so comfy!
Tim's property was very homely and the perfect escape from busy city life!
Character and tranquility in spades
From the get-go Tim was a brilliant host. Really informative and warm. The cottage is just the comfiest haven, and the decor is quirky and welcoming. Fresh flowers from their abundant garden throughout, complete modern kitchen with everything you need. Beds were so comfy. Bathroom with a washing machine, great water pressure and a screened back door so fresh air aplenty. Literally 7 mins to the beach. The dog beach was fantastic. We took our poodle Beauregard and he had a ball with all the other pooches. Anne and Tim also run a.venue called The Servo down the road, so as a fellow muso it was a treat to rock down to a music venue that had a bar and food truck in place! Ann and Tim were both super-accommodating with information and suggestions.
It's like a secret hideaway in the perfect location. Thanks Ann and Tim for your kind hospitality.
