Tyraman Retreat is a huge multi-purpose residence in one of the most scenic parts of the Hunter Valley, suitable for large self-catering groups, family gatherings, parties, workshops, yoga retreats and other social occasions. Comfortable accommodation is available for 15-20 people. Arrangements can be made for more if required.

Wine tours and minibus transport can be arranged for pick up from the property. Tyraman is a good base for exploring the areas many attractions. Book your stay to coincide with one of the music and cultural events for which the Hunter Wine district is famous. Visit historic towns, crystal clear rivers and explore the spectacular countryside.

Perched on the side of a mountain with breathtaking views the retreat has a large lounge with open fireplace and a separate dining hall with banquet tables. The architect-designed, pole-framed building is surrounded by soaring verandas and rainforest courtyard gardens, in a 160 acre private bush setting.

Great for getaways with friends, reunions and other celebrations.

Guests enjoy the residence and its 160 acre property as their private domain, with extensive rainforest gardens, dams and hillside walks. Wildlife abounds: kangaroos, goannas, echidnas, wedge tailed eagles, and fine bird watching from the verandas.

Tyraman is ideal for fun getaways with friends, or do-it-yourself gourmet weekends in stylish surrounds.

Tyraman Retreat could not be more perfect. We had a birthday celebration with 8 people and everyone enjoyed the event. Everything was spotlessly clean, the views were so much more amazing than the photos can convey. Fire place and fire pit were perfect. Good separation across the internal areas, so people could have space to themselves when needed. The hosts recommended Stay N Sip; we so very much enjoyed our wine tasting with trivia session and I highly recommend this!Thank you Stuart and Rosie for sharing this lovely place.

Perfect little escape

Tyraman was the perfect spot for us to celebrate my 30th. The house has lots of spaces so it never felt cramped and it had enough crockery and cooking utensils to self-cater for a large group. The walking trails are definitely worth it!

Tyraman Retreat is absolutely stunning! Rain or shine it’s wonderful to be in the presence of such beauty in nature. The check in process was great and so easy, I had ample details of the place and how to navigate it.
