The Apple is a 1920s family home on 8 acres of land on the Blackwood River, Bridgetown WA. 3km from the townsite.
It was once the farm house of a large apple orchard. It has a huge lounge room which in the 1940's hosted monthly dances.
Bridgetown is a gorgeous treasure in the south west. It's a small town located in a picturesque valley. The town centre is lively, with quality cafes, restaurants, wineries and boutiques. It has a long running annual Blue Festival in November, plus has many other art and culture events throughout the year.
It's easy to get caught up cooking, relaxing and never leaving the property, but it's close to heaps if you want to explore more.

When considering staying with us please be mindful this is a old country home in a rural area. If you're looking for all the modern comforts and predicability of a commercial hotel this might not be the accommodation for you. If you are after a genuine country experience with rustic charm, space, freedom and privacy we think you'll love our place. Being in a rural setting you may encounter more animals, spiders and bugs than the city, a lizard may give you a fright in the garden or you might hear a possum at night. Being an old house you may encounter the occasional imperfection, we are constantly making improvements but it is a 100 year old house.

Charming heritage country cottage Beautiful well stocked kitchen a pleasure to cook in Lovely lounge room with wood fire and reverse cycleBeautiful gardens and groundsWe had a lovely restful stay
The property and surrounding areas were absolutely beautiful. The cottage was well stocked with anything you could need. As a tea gal, I was impressed with the selection. My friends and I, had an absolute blast. Thank you for having us.
Rooms were clean, one of the beds had hair on the sheets, the fireplace we couldn't open the door to use it. We arrived late so it was quite cold when we entered the house, we used the other forms of heating in the house, two portable heaters and the split system in the common area it did not take long to warm up. Kitchen was well equipped and host was easily contactable. a delightful cottage in a quiet and scenic area, plenty of garden space, beautiful autumn colours.
Absolutely loved staying at the Apple. Such a peaceful location, family friendly and lots to do - from out door games to indoor entertainment. Would love to come back again!
The Place was in a fantastic location and very clean inside. Even though the house is old it was well maintained. one bathroom was fully renovated and the other one was very clean . The amenities were excellent. Kitchen had everything needed.
Was an amazing stay with 8 of us ladies celebrating my 60th Birthday. Everything was perfect. Plenty of wood for fires, kitchen facilities had everything and more and I loved the electric blanket. Thank you for an amazing weekend.
The property was clean and tidy, with plenty of room, with all sorts of things to do, there was 10 adults in our group and we had a great time! There was only one let down, no free to air TV, although there was a DVD player and Apple TV.
My family and I had a joyous time staying at the Apple. It's a very special place that recharged us with fresh country air and a relaxing space that felt like a second home.
We really enjoyed staying here. The kids loved the trampoline and DVD collection and wanted to stay longer. There is heaps of room inside and out and the garden is really nice.
We LOVE this place! We have stayed here annually for several years now and it never disappoints. Always peaceful, beautiful and SO pretty! Aimee is a great hostess and we are already looking forward to next year's stay.
Lovely, homely stay. The house is so well equipped with everything tou need, plenty to do for kids on the ecpansive geounds. A short drive to the quaint Bridgetown with all the amenities you need. So glad we chose to head to the country for something different. Highly recommend.
Wonderful place quite close to town and river. Huge amount of condiments made cooking really enjoyable. Amazing bird life and saw lots of skinks. Enjoyed it a lot.
Where to begin....! Absolutely stunning, especially in winter with a roaring log fire and a firepit at night! The bedding was of superior quality, the kitchen was unbelievably well stocked and the larder - no need to bring any dry goods! The grounds were beautiful and our dog loved to be able to run at will! Highly recommend and will definitely be back!
Third time staying at the apple house... we will be back!
