Hibiscus 103 - Hamilton Island

This 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom luxury apartment, Hibiscus 103, is on the first floor and overlooks Catseye Bay.

Hibiscus 103 is a clean and well-presented apartment which is fully air-conditioned and self-contained. The kitchen is equipped with a dishwasher, crockery, cutlery and cooking utensils.

The living/dining area is furnished for comfort and has a TV, DVD unit and stereo player with CD. The lounge opens on to a large balcony with outdoor dining, sun-lounges and your own BBQ.

The balcony overlooks Catseye Beach and surrounding Whitsunday islands - it's hard to imagine anything better to look at while enjoying a cool glass of champagne.

A master bedroom is spacious and has a king size bed has ensuite, walk-in dressing room and opens on to the balcony and the second bedroom has a king bed which can be split into (2) single beds if required. There is also a porta cot and high chair available. Linen and bath towels are supplied, however you will need to bring along your own beach towels and cot linen.

To get around the island with ease you are provided with the exclusive use of a complimentary buggy. You will also be met by our valet service at the airport or ferry terminal and taken to your apartment and this service is also provided for your return.

You’ll have access to all resort facilities, including *water-sports and the kids *Clownfish Club, which offers child-minding and baby-sitting services. In addition to the resort pools, all guests & residents of these apartments have the use of two private swimming pools, spa & two private barbeques.

Whatever takes your fancy in the food stakes; there are more than ten restaurants to choose from, various take-away outlets, a bakery and IGA Supermarket on the island. You can also take advantage of ordering your groceries prior to your arrival with IGA Airlie Beach Online and have them delivered to the Island.

Most credit cards are accepted and there are several ATM’s around the island. EFTPOS facilities are also available.

Great spot with private pool and golf buggy
Great location, close to everything with a private pool and hand golf buggy included. Unpack once and enjoy. Beautiful sunrise on the balcony for the early risers. Handy laundry in the unit too, so you can pack light.

We were very impressed by the location of the property and the initial pick up and departure by the agent. The facilities were comfortable but there were a number of issues which we were left disappointed with as the unit is tired and requires maintenance. It’s the first rental property which we have ever hired that doesn’t come with an instruction booklet. The barbecue on the patio has a broken igniter switch - which the management agents knew about and should have told us when we arrived so we could find the hand held gas lighter which was somewhere in the kitchen. After giving up trying to light the bbq on our first night, my wife cooked our meal on the hob, but as the extractor fans buttons don’t work, she had to stand with her fingers on the buttons on the extractor on the wall. The two tv remote controls in the lounge had flat batteries so we gave up with the TV and we were disappointed to find that one of the sunbeds had been disposed due to cockatoo damage and some of the other patio furniture is patched up extensively with gaffer tape. The kitchen bin receptacle had rubbish in from previous guests when we arrived. These matters and others were all raised early in our stay, the agent said he would get the electrician in to fix the hob on the Tuesday (but he didn’t come in), none of the other faults (apart from bin emptying) were rectified either. In a hotel I would have demanded to move rooms.
