About this property

Absolute Beach Front, Long Beach

This cottage is a great place to relax and unwind while watching the dolphins/whales swim by. Located right on the beach with accommodation to sleep 8 people

Ideal getaway for 3 couples or a small family - with 3 bedrooms, bathroom and ensuite. There are 2 toilets and 2 showers plus an outside shower for those sandy feet. A fully equipped kitchen with large fridge /freezer and bar fridge plus an outdoor deck and barbeque area. Sit around the fire pit with a quiet drink or toast your marshmellows for the kids. Just sit back with a book or swim, surf, ski or fish. All this is available right on your door step.

There is a flat screen TV and DVD player in the loungeroom and lots of games and books to enjoy. Dishwasher included.


The cottage is located at Long Beach which is 7 mins drive to Batemans Bay close enough to restaurants, shopping & cafés or far enough to be away from the crowded beaches. The Maloneys Beach Cafe has just opened and the coffee and pies are recommended. It is currently open Friday to Monday.

We had a lovely, relaxing seven day stay. Communication with the owner was friendly and good and she went out of her way to be helpful. The house was comfortable and contained everything we could possibly need. Our dog, Maisie enjoyed herself too on the lovely dog friendly beach. Thoroughly recommended. Thank you.

Wonderfully secluded beachfront break

Longbeach is a quiet retreat with a beautiful dog-friendly beach and this house has everything you could possibly need for a beautiful and quiet retreat. Very clean and comfortable. Highly recommended.

Perfect stay. We are always looking for pet friendly places. We felt refreshed after our stay. Perfect for beach walks with the dog. Also, everyone was so friendly on the walks. Chris’s place ticks all the boxes for a good place to stay.

Perfect Shack for a weekend getaway

Fantastic location. Dog friendly beach right outside, lots of amenities inside and out. Kids favourite trip to south coast to date and the house/location was a reason for this. Cannot recommend high enough!

Basic stay at a great location.Fridge etc could have been cleaner.Bathrooms are super tiny but clean and functional. No view from bedrooms, but living room is great.Bring your own linen, towels, toileteries linen,towels,toileteries etc.

Great beachfront hideaway

A lovely place to stay with the family - great access direct to beach and nice flat grassy yard to chill out in, comfy beds and well equipped kitchen. Appreciated being able to bring the little dog which had a great time frolicking on the long beach. Only quibble was not being able to find the matches for the fire pit, and the strange air freshener which spurted noisily at random intervals. Would definitely stay again

An experience to remember

The property was lovely, fantastic position, clean and very comfortable. Just meters from the beach and the local wildlife. The kangaroos are very friendly, but don't approach them. Patrick, the big male was on guard and his wife Cheryl and their young one Kai were very happy to just eat grass and hop along the beach. One night we experienced 148mls of rain and had an added non-bonus of a power blackout in the entire are of Long Beach for 11 hours!! But what can you do? Chris was very good and was in constant touch re reconnection of power. Essential Energy was on the job and power was eventually back on. But all-in-all a great stay and a wonderful experience in a wonderful location.

A beach shack with a delightful difference

The views of the sea from the back deck and from within the lounge are awesome. Being less than 50m to the beach made it really easy for two of us oldies with walking sticks to make it to the water. The beds were all comfortable and the 2 smallish bathrooms easy to use. The kitchen facilities were great. The utensils, glasses, crockery and cutlery were in abundance. Overall it was a very welcoming cottage with extra touches and we will definitely consider booking again. ThanksChris

Lovely if want a complete escape

Wasnt totally happy with cleaniless but we are capible of cleaning so all good....but the shack itself has a great layout, ample rooms/beds, comfy and relaxing, with great double-openning doors onto the deck and the views.....location is great, beautiful, peaceful (July) & right on the beach!!!! What more could you want. If bringing a a four-legged pet had to be on our toes at all times with no fencing of back yard due to evening visits from kangaroos & a very fast black rogue rabbit. But we were fore-warned prior to accepting, so we were well prepared. Overall a great place for a well-earned break!!!

Great property in amAmazing location. My two girls aged 11 and 8 absolutely loved this being their second visit to the Shack at Long beach. Our pup (aged almost 17) had a blast again and found the walk from the house to beach effortless with her old lady shuffle. To be honest it’s the reason we came back and will come back again and again!If you are looking at this listing just do yourself a favour and boom it now.

During our stay in this area, my parents were able to sit in the backyard and enjoy the beautiful ocean view and sunsets. They could even walk to the beach—even at the ages of 84 and 88—which made the experience truly special. It was a wonderful stay. Chris is a very kind person. After we returned home, my parents realized they had left the charger for their blender behind. Chris kindly dropped it off at our home, which we really appreciated.

THE BEST LOCATION AND BEST HOST

Love the magical view and the spacious bedroom to accomodate us guest. Nice outdoors place and the bedrooms are so comfy. Love the house and the beach,it’s the best. Will definitely come back to this and l would recommend to anyone looking for a short geataway.

Nice place for a couple of nights

Location is fantastic, access to the properly was easy. House had everything you need. Bed was too soft for me but might be ideal for others. Minor upgrades and maintenance required.Overall a nice place to stay.

A nice little cottage with amazing view

Booking and check in process was easy, communication was prompt. The place has a breathtaking view. Cleanliness could be better. The only drawback is you have to bring your own linen and towels. I would definitely recommend this place.
