cu@wallaroo is a relaxed group accommodation venue with great character.
It comfortably houses 72 people and is for your exclusive use, whether 30 or 72 people stay. Set in the beachside town of Wallaroo on the Yorke Peninsula, it’s a short stroll to the beach, jetty and local shops.

With spectacular modern facilities, huge lounge and fantastic outdoor alfresco area featuring a wood-fired pizza oven, cu@wallaroo provides the opportunity for family and friends to spend time together and unwind from daily life.

Whether you are planning a school camp, end of season trip or a party weekend, cu@wallaroo is the perfect choice for you. With air-conditioning for the summer and gas and underfloor heating for the winter, you will be comfortable all year round.

Going away together as a group can create happy memories that will be remembered for years to come!


Wedding Weekend as well as hens and bucks weekends

cu@wallaroo is a relaxed wedding venue with heritage features, ideal as a base to add those personal touches to create the setting of your dreams.
And only a short walk to the beach - ideal if you would like a beach ceremony.

Conveniently, you can hold your reception and accommodate your guests in the one venue, without people having to worry about driving home or finding a taxi.
cu@wallaroo comfortably accommodates up to 72 guests, great if you have guests travelling from Adelaide or further afield.

The advantage of having a wedding weekend, is you can check-in Friday afternoon, which will give you plenty of time to set everything up, just the way the way you planned.

You can bring in your own choice of caterer - the kitchen is every caterers' dream.
You can provide your own drinks which can save you a bomb!

At the end of the reception, the Bride and Groom can retreat to the self-contained cottage, "The Gallery" - located on the property in a separate building.

Then on Sunday, with the free late check-out, gives you the perfect opportunity to open your wedding gifts surrounded by those that matter most.
With the Wedding Day going so fast, it's nice to have the extra time to relax among family and friends.

We had a family reunion and it was a perfect space for everyone. Great space to spread out so everyone wasn’t sleeping on top of each other. Kitchen facilities were brilliant and the great big hall was perfect for lazing around chatting. We will definitely be back

Best School Camp!!!

Derek and Nicole are extremely hospitable, welcoming and are great with our students. All the staff and students who attended the camp thoroughly enjoyed their time and want to go back. Food was fantastic as always, facilities great and location perfect! If only every school camp could be held here?!? We'll be back next year.

Amazing Wedding Weekend at cu@Wallaroo

We had our wedding at Moonta Bay this December and decided on cu@Wallaroo for our reception/accommodation venue as it was something different and could cater for all of our guests. Between the spacious and clean (and most importantly air-conditioned) sleeping areas, the huge main hall with amazing ceiling features, the outdoor area with wood oven and the large and modern industrial kitchen it was a perfect venue. Not only were we and our guests impressed beyond anything we expected (despite having given the property a quick view beforehand) but our suppliers especially our caterer and our photographer all commented on the uniqueness of the property and the quality of the various rooms, utilities, appliances etc. We stayed for 3 nights and after the wedding it was like having our own personal hotel/restaurant/games room for the weekend. Close to the beach and right across from the new Foodland complex. If you're looking for a self-catering option for a large group or a venue that you can do just about anything you can think of with then cu is an amazing option. Derek the owner is friendly, helpful and informative.

Just the best

Just enjoyed a weekend of Basketry Workshops- we couldn't have chosen a better spot with lots of areas to spread our basketry materials and areas to conduct classes. Amazing fresh food prepared for the entire weekend was appreciated by all. Derek and Nicole's attention to detail made our weekend most enjoyable - nothing was too much trouble. The great location also allowed for after dinner walks to the seafront and proximity to the Main Street. I'm sure Basketry S.A will return for our third visit!!! Why go anywhere else! Thank you to Derek and Nicole for great hospitality.

Walkerville Netball end of year trip

perfect location, amazing facilities with enough space for everyone to move & great outdoor decking area! only stayed for 1 weekend, but could easily stay for weeks especially with the new foodland across the road. Exceeds expectations!

cu@wallaroo is not what you expect from group accommodation; it is so much better! I held my 40th birthday there and want to go back to do it all again. Some of the best moments were seeing my friend's faces when they entered cu@wallaroo for the first time. It definitely has that 'wow' factor. The pressed tin ceilings, natural light and spacious interior impressed all of us. Probably the best part is the terrific commercial kitchen that opens onto the outdoor area. The communal layout meant that anyone working in the kitchen still felt part of the action. I also liked the various dormitory 'zones' which meant we all felt a sense of privacy even in a group accommodation setting. It's very difficult to fault cu@wallaroo; I highly recommend it.

Absolutely fabulous!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at cu@wallaroo. The whole group were blown away by the huge rooms, amount of space, wonderful bathrooms and the most amazing, fresh food cooked by the lovely Derek and Nicole! We'd seen the photos beforehand but were amazed at how big the place is in person. The location is fantastic, minutes walk to the beach as well as shops and playgrounds nearby. Dealing with Derek for the bookings was easy and straightforward, nothing was a hassle at all! If you're not sure about having your stay catered, go for it! The pizzas were to die for and the cakes and desserts mouth watering. Those with dietary requirements were well taken care of, with vegan, vegetarian and gluten free options, no one went away hungry. We can't wait to go back!
