Very convenient location, close to main part of town and start of walking trails to Wonderland range. Lovely stay even though it rained a lot, and the heating inside kept the place very cosy!
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this lovely accommodation. It had all we needed for a very comfortable stay, we even took advantage of the board games during a rainy day. The location was amazing, within close walking distance of shops, eateries and walking trails but still feeling quite private. A well equipped kitchen, cosy heating and fabulous spa, we hope to stay here again.
School house villa was very clean and tidy. We stayed cosy and warm thanks to the air con and gas fire place. Located just a few hundred meters to the shops, restaurants, cafes and service station…everything is close by. But the house is surrounded by trees and bushland and so you don’t feel like you’re in the middle of everything. It is quiet and private. Kitchen and laundry are well equipped and the bed is super comfortable. We also appreciated the lovely Sheridan sheets and towels. Many bushwalks begin within walking distance and others are just a short drive away. Breathtaking scenery abounds!

The property had everything we were after and was a very nice quiet spot but still just a couple hundred metres from the centre of town.

Ideal location to walks and the village shops. The hall gap hotel is back down the road a km or 2 and great for a meal.
A beautiful well appointed villa in a great location. Had a fantastic stay and will definitely visit again. The kangaroos in the back yard were an added bonus.
Perfect location to unwind and relax, and so centrally located to all of Hall Gap shopping and eateries - yet also the perfect location to begin many of the walking trails. Kangaroos at the doorstep.

Thank you Julie! looking forward to host you again soon
A centrally situated property perfect for a couple. We only stayed two days but could have been longer. The small house has all the amenities required. Would certainly recommend to others.
Very central, excellently presented! We enjoyed our stay so much! Could easily walk to town for a meal & home again to relax in the large spa bath after a big day out exploring all the Grampians has to offer! Loved listening to the birds in the morning & watching the very friendly kangaroos in the garden. Will be back for sure!
Very organised leading up to the stay. Location in the heart of Halls Gap made it a short walk to the shops and even some of the walks.
Disappointing that on arrival there was not even a biscuit and the one small packet of milk was 4 months over the use by date. A small welcome pack of local goodies often are left for guests.

Hi Glynis, thanks for your kind review. Apologies about the milk. I will have this checked and rectified.
Sorry you were disappointed there were not any biscuits but we dont advertise that we leave biscuits or welcome packs of local goodies because everything comes at a cost and we find most people prefer us to keep our prices as low as possible and bring their own food. Its also just another thing that could go past its best before date if they don't get used.
Hopefully you will remember School House Villa for its amazing location, for the spa bath, for the wildlife and the serenity.
We were very surprised how amazing this little house was, the house had everything we needed including soap and spa bubbles, plus some kitchen supplies. The house was very clean and with a comfortable bed. The wildlife made it, with the kangaroos that come straight up to you, at the property, wanting food and plenty of kookaburras, parrots and cockatoos. It was the best experience we have had in nature. Everything is close by within walking distance, perfect to enjoy a drink and easily walk back home. I will say if you’re eating food in the street, expect the birds to nibble on your food without permission, cheeky little things, lucky their just too cute and bring heaps of joy and laughter. I would definitely recommend this property and everything was easy from check in to check out. Thank you so much for letting us stay at your wonderful home. I hope to return in the future.

We felt spoiled in this spacious modern villa located within easy walking distance of all amenities. At the same time it felt secluded and private. As well as dual heating systems, well equipped kitchen, solid wifi, TV, sound system it had a laundry, separate bathroom and toilet and very comfortable open bedroom. A feature we appreciated was a 4 peg coat hanger. Despite the caveats in the literature we found no problem with the hot water and an indulgent range of toiletries was provided. There was also thoughtful additions to the usual tea and coffee, delicious instant cappuccino and latte.
We stayed 2 nights and made it our base for day tours of the Grampians. It was the perfect choice.

So close to town meant we could walk in for breakfast or dinner. Had kangaroos and deer greeting us in the morning.
