The Light House Cottage

Welcome to The Light House.

The Light House is the closest house to the working Burnett Heads Light house.
Views of the ocean or harbour from every window in the house.
Discover the pristine coastline of Burnett Heads and Mon Repos, with intriguing turtles, whales and the gateway to the Great Barrier Reef.

This well-maintained home is the typical Queenslander with closed in verandahs (sleep-outs), and a large, central lounge.

It was the old pilot stations' house, moved with logs to this prime location back in the 30's.

There are 4 bedrooms and a 2-way bathroom, with a claw-foot bath and seperate shower. The toilet is separate.

The 2 queen, and 2 single beds are very comfortable, as is the leather lounge suite.

Ceiling fans are throughout, and sea breezes are too pleasant to bother with air-con.

The fully fenced yard is large enough to park your boat and car, and keep your dog happy and secure.

Outdoor pets welcome and pets may sleep in the laundry at night.

Lockable single shed.

Great fishing and swimming from the rock walls and private beach.

Excellent boating and fishing in river or out to the reef.

A short 700m walk to local Supermarket, shops, PO, pub and club.

Playgrounds and skate bowl in adjacent parks for the kids.

Everything you could want, spacious, beautiful views, fully equipped kitchen. Only no internet or dryer (my fault, didn’t check but wasn’t a big deal. A great stay and we wish we could have stayed longer, perhaps another time’

Our stay at the property was fantastic, property was very clean and true to its description with provided amenities spot on. Only negative was it was very hot and humid, would have been more comfortable with air conditioning.

Summer Getaway

Good clean property in quiet area close to ocean and river access. As advertised - secure yard for the dog. Would highly recommend a stay if you are looking for a peaceful getaway that is a good base for a Bundaberg escape.

We have two young disabled adults, both able to climb the three stairs at the front and rear. Our son loved wandering around the fully enclosed property while our daughter enjoyed watching tv shows. The playground opposite and the playground a wheelchair walk away was wonderful. We wheelchair walked to the shops and the house had everything we needed. We accessed Mon Repos, Oceanfest, Bundaberg Steam Train and Botanic Gardens and all of the beautiful beaches nearby. We will book again for next year! Loved it!

Humble breezie property

For the fishing/ boating people, this place is perfect as you can park your boat nice and secured. Also great pressure water with a tap supplied. Everything was only a stones throw away which was nice.

We have never stayed in a more meticulously clean property. It had everything we needed for our short stay with the kids and our 2 small dogs. Quiet and picturesque area and hope to come again in the cooler months!
