The caving was clean and it was in a great area. My family and I had a great experience. The only thing was the couches were very uncomfortable! But other than that, it was awesome!

Great location

The location was the best part of this cabin. It was smaller than what it looks like in the pictures but it worked for our quick trip. The sofa beds in the living room were not very comfortable to sleep on. The pots and pans could be replaced with newer ones. Everything else was good and the cabin was clean.

The place was great.

Everything went well. It was hotter during the day but we were there too much so it was fine. There was a smell possibly from the unused hot tub when we were outside. Our host was very accommodating with our stay and helped us when we needed. I appreciate her and all she did to make us comfortable. Thank you!

Great Time!

The cabin was very functional for our group but would encourage looking into AC unit or at least provide additional fans for summer time visitors. The overall cleanliness of this cabin was good but the floors were somewhat sticky in the kitchen & living area. Mid-day traffic is a little heavy & a little loud as mentioned in other reviews BUT HEY we are JUST VISITING in an area where people DO Live & Work!! NONE of the afore mentioned prevented us from enjoying our stay by any means! The view from the front deck is AWESOME!!! 2 mornings out of our 4 day stay we got to see the Amazing elk herds come in along with the deer every morning and late afternoon!! If you are looking for total peace & quite then you need to look else where BUT if you are looking for something functional for a large family gathering, convenient to shopping and nature this is a PERFECT location!!!

I got this cabin for a week trying to escape the El Paso heat but this cabin was the worse i ever experienced it was super hot, i got it for a week and the worse week of my life!!! It was so hot we couldnt be inside the cabin, i messaged owner several times but never fixed the AC issue it was always set at 77 or 80 degrees inside after telling them to set to 70 but never did, it was just soooooo hot especially having a pregnant wife, especially upstairs, had a bad back cuz upstairs was so hot had to sleep in the uncomfortable couches.. will never rent here, if you love the A/C look elsewhere this cabin aint it, its waaaaaaay too hot!

Great location/not so great house.

First the place wreaked cigarettes, that’s a big negative, then the stove had a skillet full of old grease. Lots of loose tiles on the floor. The living room and dining furniture is not what is in the picture. We had 9 and some had to sleep on them and they were horrible. The room with bunks were not safe, we did not use top bunk for safety reasons. They should provide firewood, because you have to run the heater on 78-80 to keep living area somewhat warm and all other rooms you smoldered. Only 2 could take showers then you had to wait a while to get hot water. All in all we had a great time, location is perfect, but the house was not. I would not recommend this home, for this price. We did reach out to host for 2 things and we got a quick response.

Although in a convenient and safe location, the cabin itself does not appear to be well maintained, or rather minimally maintained. Thick spiderwebs were both inside and outside of the cabin. Cooking supplies were cracked or very worn and there was even a drawer that was stuck closed. A layer of grease could be felt over the countertops and stove. Other basic utilities were either worn or not included at all. For example, an old used sponge was left to use for washing dishes and there was no toaster. The entire refrigerator would shift completely when trying to open the freezer drawer. The entire cabin was stuffy in a way that it hadn't been used in quite a while and the only windows that had screens to help keep insects out were in the bathrooms and washroom. The photo of the cabin is misleading in that the lighting of the main living room was very dim. The tubs in the bathrooms were both worn and cracked. The bottles of toiletries that were left in the bathrooms were empty and old. The towels left for us to use needed to be washed prior to use because it seems generally that the cabin wasn't used for a while and were only checked to see if things were there prior to our visit.All in all, this cabin needs a bit more TLC and a couple of upgrades to keep it up to expectations when we are expected to pay close to 1,000 for a couple of nights stay. Pretty disappointed.

We were disappointed.

The property looks like the pictures but it has not been maintained and was terribly dirty. There was old food left in the microwave, stains on the comforter, the coffee maker was absolutely filthy as was the refrigerator. There was old opened food in the kitchen cabinets. The floors did not appear to have been swept or vacuumed. The dryer had so much lint in the lint trap that I am surprised there had not been a fire. The hot tub doesn't work and there was no firewood available. Only one of the 3 lamps in the bedrooms worked and there was no towel rack in the downstairs bathroom. We would have left if it weren't for the fact that we did not have another reservation and I didn't want to move my mother. I called the owner who was available and she sent a maid over who then did a small amount of cleaning and changed the linens on the one bed that was terribly stained. The property overall is in need of a lot of cleaning and upkeep. I cleaned a great deal of the time while we were there and moped the kitchen etc. We were very disappointed and felt uncomfortable for the entire stay. We paid a large amount of money for 3 nights and the cost was definitely not appropriate for what we received. So sad. I sent pictures of most of the issues to the owner so they are aware.

Diryt Diaper!!

I should have listen to the reviews. I should have received a credit back for the amount of cleaning that I did when we first got there. The home had an odor that lingered through out the intire stay. The coahes were gross! Under the coaches had trash. We even found a used dirty diaper in the master bed room!! This proubly was the cause of the lingering smell. BUT gross to people that stayed there before us. Do you have no respect for other peoples property?! The blankets were all stained. We spent $100 more to get clean sheets and blankets from the local store, just to feel comfortable. The nieghbors had frequent visiters and played load music. Traffic raced through the strees with no account for speed. This was my first time using this company and I'll probable return to staying in hotels. The company gave contact information for two individuals but neither of them answered my emails. Goes to show, does the company really care about there customers concerns or just cover it up? Does someone actually go in and clean or is it just a sceam to get more money out us? For the next person that happens to stay at this cabin, your welcome. I made sure the home was cleaned, we even left some air freshener for you just incase the smell was still present. I would not recommend this place to family.

We had a simple weekend vacation. We loved the layout and how many bed option this place had! Not too much natural light coming in but still very cozy place. This cabin was in a great location near grocery stores and downtown. I do wish the place was a tad more cleaner. There was some pet hairs on furnitures and rugs but it is what it is.( we thought it said no pets allow online). The host does reply fast and answers every unexpected call so that was super awesome and nice. Overall we as a bug family had fun in the cabin and outside.

This place was really good, it definitely felt like Ruidoso here. The location. Was great close to downtown, clean. We saw deer and even a bear roaming around. The only drawback was hot tub was down and we came in June wish we had a fan as it doesn't have ac. We would definitely stay here again!

Weekend stay

We enjoyed the stay. The beds were a tad hard on the back, but not enough to ruin the weekend. The neighbors however, fought in the early hours, and allowed their dog to run around the neighborhood, even relieving itself in the walking areas around our car and the cabin. They also has visitors that would park in our parking in front of the cabin. Thank you for such a beautiful place.
