Great one bedroom condo

This is the first time we've stayed in Dan's one bedroom condo.It has everything you need. Fully equipped kitchen, laundry, a lot of towels, clean, nice view, quiet. Very close to the beach. Dan was great to work with and was very prompt in getting back to us with answers to our questions. There is so much to see and do in the area. We enjoyed our stay.

Beautiful and relaxing stay!

Runaway Bay is a clean and well-maintained facility, and Dan's condo was the same, as well as nicely decorated. We especially loved the screened in porch overlooking the pond and fountain - very relaxing! It is a short walk to the beach, with a crosswalk signal that alerts cars to stop while pedestrians cross the street. Dan had lots of beach chairs and toys, as well as beach towels and umbrella. He even had a bottle of aloe, which we definitely needed after getting sunburned on the first day! My husband and children played tennis every day, and we enjoyed the shuffleboard court as well. The pool is beautiful, and even at busy times, there were still chairs left to sit on. Dan was great to work with and was very prompt in getting back to us with answers to our questions. The only things that could have been improved a bit were the internet, which was a bit spotty, and the picture quality on the television, which we didn't use too much any way. We would definitely recommend this spot and would love to come again!

perfect fit

Our stay at Dan's 2 bedroom condo/Anna Maria Island was great. I have been coming to AMI since the 80's and have stayed at Runaway Bay a handful of times but this was the first time staying at Dan's condo. My family and I loved it. The condo was clean, comfortable and cozy. It had everything we needed for our family and more (lots of beach supplies). Dan is a wonderful host and great communicator. This would definitely be a five star rating based on his condo..but we were a little disappointed with pool closing at 8pm. In the past it has been open later and kids always enjoyed swimming in the eve. Us adults enjoyed gathering by the pool at night and relaxing...this wasn't the case this year which was kind of a bummer but we it didn't ruin our stay and we just spent more time on the beach. AMI is a beautiful island...which one day we hope to be residents of..we will definitely be back and would absolutely recommend Dan's condo if you come to visit here too! A. Garcia

Great place to stay!

This is the third time we have stayed in Dan's Florida Condo, and we are already looking forward to staying here again! The property is exactly as listed (yes, the bedrooms are colorful!). Thanks Dan!! We really enjoyed our week in your One-Bedroom condo at Runaway Bay! It's a beautiful, clean, well maintained condo equipped with everything you could possibly need for a great vacation. Having a washer and dryer right in the unit was awesome. The pool was GREAT...large with cool water which was SO refreshing on a hot Florida summer day, and the beach was a quick stroll across the street...we took advantage with long daily morning walks! We fell in love with the quaint Bradenton Beach/Anna Maria Island area with the great restaurants and fun entertainment, cute little shops, bike rentals, beautiful sunsets on the beach, etc., so much that we are actually considering retiring there next year....perhaps we will be neighbors! Nice, clean and fuctional flat with good location

Very nice and functional flat just a short walk to a fantastic beach and close to restaurants. We were 2 adults and 1 child age 12 and this was just what we needed. The beds are fantastic - wanted to take them with us :) Dan is unbelievably quick to respond to any questions we had and all the rental information and practical information was super. We highly recommend this :)

Amazing!!!

Our stay at Dan's condo in Runaway Bay, was our first and it was incredible!! The one bedroom condo is beautifully decorated with bright and cheerful colors. It was very clean, spacious and the natural lighting is a great way to wake up in the morning! Working with Dan for our first family vacation was a breeze. He was always quick to respond, very helpful & informative and provided a great list of activities and delicious restaurants to enjoy on the island. Our friends' family stayed in Dan's two bedroom condo and it was also beautifully decorated, very clean and spacious. Dan made organizing a dual family vacation stress-free and very affordable for the excellent memories we came back home with. Thanks so much Dan!

Great Condo!

This is the third time we've stayed in Dan's one bedroom condo. The unit is spacious, bright and well decorated. The condo has everything you need (a well stocked kitchen and laundry room, as well as beach towels, sand toys, etc., for enjoying the beach). One of the best reasons to stay in this condo at Runaway Bay is you have all the comforts of home and right across the street is the beautiful Gulf of Mexico. Great location, Great stay

Dan's condo was perfect for our family of 5, extremely clean and well maintained. The kitchen was fully stocked and there were plenty of amenities, including towels, chairs and toys for the beach. We enjoyed exploring Bradenton from the trolley. There is so much to see and do in the area, including lots of yummy restaurants. We enjoyed seafood at The City Pier and pizza at Oma's. The locals are extremely friendly and helpful. The best part was the beautiful beach, only a short walk from the condo. Our children keep asking to go back, so hopefully we can soon! Thanks, Dan, for letting us use your Florida home and for always being available either through e-mail or phone. We have recommended your place to several friends.

Wonderful condo and location

My husband and I just spent two weeks at Dan's one bedroom condo, and found it to be all that the reviews said it was. It is very clean, comfortable and well stocked. There is a nice view from the balcony which we enjoyed quite a bit. You can flip flop from your condo to the beach or the pool within a few minutes. Publix and Fresh Market are both close if you want to cook or grill, or enjoy the many diverse restaurants up and down the island. Dan provides great customer service and we were very pleased with our experience.

A place to remember and return!

It was a really wonderfull condo. Very clean, fully equipped: microwave, plenty of crockery, dishwasher, washing machine, dryer, hairdryer, iron and board, television, movies, a lot of towels, also a few for the beach, a nice balcony with chairs, good working air conditioning, good shower. Stylish design, good chairs. We loved it. A 5 minutes walk from beach and by car you can reach several beaches, nice restaurants. Lots to do in the area, such as Anna Maria Island, Robinson Preserve, DoSoto national monument, St Armands Circle, South Florida Museum with Snooty the mannatee, shopping, outlet in Ellenton. Thanks for sharing the condo!

Staying att Dan o Connor ,Runaway Bay

This was an perfect located unit, and just perfect Place for a family or similar to spend time on. The unit containing all necessary Equipment, good kitchen and bathing, pool, gym etc. Location was awesome , only steps to the beach , restaurants etc. I can highly recommend this to other guests, and en extra credit to the owner of "our" unit, Dan O Connor, who gave me good information Before , under and after our staying. Even tough we have a long trip to visit, we are hoping and looking forward to come back to Runaway Bay! //Johan , with family from Sweden.

Very nice and relaxing accommodations

We thoroughly enjoyed our week on the island, and this condo was exactly as pictured and described by the owner and previous reviews. Condo included some extras that not all condo or home owners typically offer (beach towls and chairs, stroller, beach toys, etc.), which made packing for trip a little less work :)Would highly recommend this condo to others and we hope to visit again. Fabulous One Bedroom Condo

We vacation every year in Bradenton Beach - Anna Maria Island. We have rented several places and Dan's condo was the best. It looks just like the pictures on VRBO. It was on the top floor of a two-story building. It was very clean and comfortable. The complex was very quite and peaceful. The bed was king size bed with a thick pillow top, very comfortable. The bedroom had plenty of storage, as well as, a flat screen TV in the armoire. The living room was roomy had plenty of seating. The sofa was a pull out perfect for kid(s). There is a screen in porch off the living room with bedroom access too. It had two rocking chairs that faced a small lagoon with a fountains features. Very relaxing and peaceful. There was a full size upgraded kitchen with granite countertops and fully equipped. A stacked washer and dryer. The condo was conveniently located to the beach, restaurants, and shopping. You can ride your bike to Bridge Street in 10 minutes with side walks the entire way, or hop on the free Island trolley. I would highly recommend staying at either of Dan's condos at Runaway Bay. Even though it is not located directly on the beach it is a quick 5 minute walk to the beach, and extremely affordable. Dan was easy to work with and extremely responsive to answer any questions we had before we booked and during our stay. It's a great place to stay. 5 Stars!

Can't go wrong with this rental. Rented 1 bedroom first week of August, 2015. Arrived early and not a problem getting in way before check-in time. Great interaction with Dan answering any questions. Condo very clean and nicely decorated. Anna Maria Island great atmosphere and relatively quiet for a "resort" like attraction. Spent a great deal of time at the city pier fishing and close enough to take a party boat fishing out of St. Pete (found in one of fliers in the condo). Highly recommend the Cortez Bait & Seafood market for fresh fish (although the bait is for commercial fisherman; can by personal bait (squid and shrimp) right over the bridge). If you want to eat out several nice restaurants close by. Pool at condo very nice too! Afterwards, Dan very prompt with down payment refund and no dickering. Only issue we had was with Mother Nature: rained for the first 3 days and we never really saw a post card sunset. Would do it again in a heartbeat.

Runaway Bay The best place to stay!!!

We stayed in Dan's 1 bedroom condo. It looked exactly like the pictures. Clean, bright, roomy, a perfect layout. Everything you could need Dan has it there for you. Right across the street is the beautiful beach. Dan let us bring our two little dogs. they loved it too! Dan was the best owner we ever dealt with. He was friendly, helpful, prompt, all over the best. We would definetly recommend this place to family or friends. Dan's condo is the one we would rent again. We love Anna Maria Island. Bridge Street Bistro has the best burgers and coconut shrimp and pastrami sandwiches by far.

Clean, close to beach, baby friendly!

We had such a great trip to Dan's condo at Runaway Bay. The condo was clean, spacious, quiet and a close 5 minute walk to the gorgeous beach. We were able to make many meals in the condo as there were pots,pans, and lots of utensils to use. We took our 9 month daughter with us and she was very comfortable in the condo as well. Dan was a great communicator and made sure all details were smoothed out for our stay regardless of a few hiccups. We can't wait to go back!

DAN,S 1 BEDROOM CONDO WAS VERY CLEAN AND JUST AS THE PICTURES SHOW,FOR US THE HIGHLIGHT OF RUNAWAY BAY WAS THE LARGE HEATED SALT WATER POOl. THE BEACH WAS NICE AND CLEAN,AND WITHIN WALKING DISTANCE, WE STAYED THE SECOND WEEK IN SEPT,2015,AND THE TEMPERATURE WAS COMFORTABLE, AND WE WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND HIS CONDO . THE ONLY REASON WE DID NOT PUT A FIVE STAR RATING WAS THAT IT IS NOT BEACH FRONT AS WE THOUGHT.

I own several units at this property since 1991 and have fully enjoyed the time I get to spend here. I purchased a second 1BR unit in 2014! My family and I stay in the units several times a year, which is why it's important to me to keep it updated and clean. We pride ourselves in having one of the cleanest and most functional units around, and our past guest reviews back this up!
