About the host
Hosted by Elizabeth C. Piechocinski
Retired from teaching in 1991. Since retiring having pursued a second career in writing--published five non-fiction books on Savannah. My husband was a native Savannahian and was active as a docent at the Girl Scout Birthplace for many years as well as a licensed tour guide. Am a local historian and frequently give lectures to various groups on historic Savannah. Have traveled extensively. Am active in several heritage organizations and animal welfare groups. I live on the property with my buddy Charlie, a Silky Terrier mix who was a rescue. He now has his own Facebook page and is locally known as the Mayor of Chippewa Square.
Why they chose this property
My husband was born in Savannah and grew up in the historic district. All of our interests were centered in the downtown area.
What makes this property unique
The initial selling point for this property was the magnificent view from the balconies of the Cathedral of St.John the Baptist, and its prime location. This 1920's property recalls a gracious era and many original features of the building are found throughout. Savannah is a walking city, and this convenient location allows you to enjoy our lovely city on foot, both from an historic aspect and for our varied nightlife.
