About this property
Park House Yungaburra
Offering seclusion and privacy yet still so close to the action, Park House is the perfect place for a quiet get away for a couple or a holiday retreat for larger groups.
Please contact us for quotes for stays longer than 7 days, as the HomeAway/VRBO system does not apply long stay discounts correctly, and over-quotes significantly. Peak season rates of $1000/night apply for Christmas/NY bookings. Please only enter 2 guests for a correct quote over this period. The quoted rate will include up to 20 guests. Alternatively, please contact us for a personalised quote.
The house offers the best of holiday living. Huge cathedral ceilings with timber beams in the living space and upstairs bedrooms combine beautifully with wood panelling and painted brick to create a contemporary country feel.
The house is located just a minutes' drive from the heart of the historic village of Yungaburra and just a couple of minutes from the Tinaburra boat ramp.
Park House is designed to help you relax whether on the patio out the back, in the lounge room or while preparing food in the chef's kitchen.
A TV, stereo, Wii, Apple TV Media Library, Netflix and DVD player are all available for use along with a reading corner with library and a great selection of board games.
For those that like to spend time on the water, Park House is in a perfect position.
When the dam is at 80% or above, bring your boat up to the back of the house or paddle and swim directly from the garden.
When the water level is lower, there may not be water out back but the boat ramp at Tinaburra is just 2 minutes away by car.
Easy for fishing and watersports, Park House is also quiet and private so wildlife abounds. Great bird life can be seen in the reserve opposite the back garden and cows live in the field across the road from the front of the house.
At night you can spot bandicoots, echidnas and even possums.
A large living space and chef's kitchen make for really sociable spaces and when combined with the luxurious outdoor living spaces, the house offers plenty of space to relax and recharge.
Downstairs features a large living space, reading nook, dining area, kitchen, toilet, bathroom (with laundry) and 4th bedroom (with curtain divider to close it off) plus huge outdoor room with additional dining area, lounge and bunk room.
Upstairs is the master king bedroom, two double bedrooms, bathroom with bath and shower and separate toilet. All bedrooms have storage and are spacious.
There are number of configurations to suit your size group - you can hire the main house which includes the outdoor room and all grounds; just the bunk room, outdoor room and downstairs bathroom and all grounds; or the main house + bunk room for larger groups. Regardless of the configuration, Park House is offered on an exclusive one group at a time basis, so you'll be left in peaceful seclusion for the duration of your stay.
We are pet friendly, however prior approval is required which is assessed on a case by case basis, and may attract an additional bond of up to $1000 which is fully refundable provided there is no damage attributable to their stay. Guests with pets and small children should be aware that the property is in a semi-rural setting, and is not fenced.
The property is not fenced, and is in a rural setting with unfenced access to water which could present a drowning risk to children if left unsupervised. Guests remain responsible for children at all times. There a beehive located on a far corner of the property well away from the house which will not interfere with guests, provided it is not interfered with and guests remain clear of the hive. Guests must keep children away from the beehive. Wildlife is abundant, and we do everything possible to keep the place clean, safe and rodent free. However whilst there are no abnormally dangerous creatures for Australian standards, due to the rural setting there is the possibility of insects, snakes, and the occasional rodent depending on the season and weather. There are plenty of nighttime birds and other small harmless animals that make all sorts of interesting noises, some of which could be alarming to international travellers who are not used to Australian wildlife - they are all harmless! Guests remain responsible for their own safety, and common sense must prevail at all times.
