Warm, cosy, quiet but still close to all we needed. Kangaroos were entertaining.
The surroundings are beautiful and the log cabin well built.
One of the 2 light fittings in the front room was flickering. We reported this to Jason
who promptly came and fixed it.
We also reported during the week that the refrigerator thermostat was not working.
We had tried the dial in all possible settings. All our salad vegetables froze.
Also reported that the toilet bowl needs re-bolting to the floor. It wobbles!
My friend cut her hand on the broken base of a wineglass when she took it down from the shelf. We threw it out. Other glasses had sediment in them.
Beds were fine and bath was wonderful. Stove worked well and there was a good selection of kitchen utensils and pots.
Apart from one picture on the wall in the master bedroom and some artificial flowers in a vase on the table there was a lack of 'homeliness'.
The spout from the tap in the laundry broke off and needs replacing.
For the money I paid I was disappointed.
Sorry to see this review Nicola and also sorry to hear you were disappointed. As stated to both you and your friend, we rely on feedback from guests to discover items that need maintenance. The laundry spout you broke and the wobbling toilet were fixed within hours of your departure. I was happy to attend to these items during your stay but you advised me not to. I was happy to come and a replace faulty light globe for you. The owner will be replacing the fridge in the next week or two. Apologies for the sediment in the glasses - as I'm sure you can appreciate, our cleaners do not go through and rewash glassware or crockery and cutlery after each guest stay so can only apologise for some previous guest not doing a good enough job for you. As for the money you paid, at $70 per person per night, you would have paid more at the local backpackers. Sorry you can't see the value in having a fully self contained house at such a cheap price. Given that you relayed all your concerns to me during your stay and all were met with either a solution or an offer to rectify promptly, I'm disappointed to see you felt the need to re-visit all of them in a public forum. Staggering really.
The cottage is in a lovely position with a great outlook, but I do think a little more attention is needed in cleaning … a lovely view but the windows and flyscreens are really dirty and it's very hard to see out … one of the small electric heaters doesn't work … but the bed linen is lovely ….
Thanks for your review Joan. Being a bush property the windows do tend to get dirty quickly. I will get on to our cleaners and ask them to rectify.
All fan heaters in the house work fine. I have had many comments from other guests like you that claim one is broken, however the heater in question has a safety switch on the bottom that doesn't allow the heater to work unless it is on a solid surface - i.e. if you lift it up in the air and turn it on, it doesn't work. Thanks for the feedback in any case.

Jason so easy to deal with!
Comfortable place. Beautiful spot
Relaxing. Beautifully positioned at the edge of the national park. Some maintenance issues could be addressed. We still really enjoyed our stay
Great Place to Stay
Comfortable and well equipped with a spacious living area. Lots of native wildlife to enjoy and kangaroos that are obviously used to having humans around will feed close to the house, sometimes on the back lawn or at the front and side of the house during the morning and evening. Idyllic and peaceful location. Very enjoyable.
