A true home away from home. Great facilities, comfortable throughout, and excellent communication from the owners. We had a wonderful week in Port Hughes and would highly recommend this property to anyone looking for a relaxing getaway.

Great location

We had a lovely long weekend stay with a group of friends. Very friendly owner. Golf course within walking distance was a bonus, the house is lovely however a little TLC required on the property & would suggest updating the bed linen.

Long weekend getaway

It is a well thought out and set out holiday house. We had a small glitch when we got there. We had paid for linen service and linen had not been provided but property owners responded straight away to my email and phone call and rectified. From then on we enjoyed our stay. Would love to stay again but longer.

Great Family House

Another great family stay in Port Hughes. House is lovely and spacious with everything you could need. Amazing views from the balcony to enjoy a wine at the end of a beach day. Sadly, the BBQ was not cleaned for the second year in a row, not sure if this was previous tenants or not but we couldn't use it. One of the downstairs bedrooms could use a new bed/mattress too. We will be back! Thank you Matthew & Joanna

Fantastic holiday home. Diffintly will go back. However it has a terrible linen policy.

Wonderful property with horrible linen policy. We where very happy to pay for linen.if thats the way you run business.. we expect beds made sine we paid for it in advance. Arriving late night with half sleepy kids, finding wrong covers on wrong bed's , trying to make the bed's and settle crying kids at the same time was not my idea of how I should start a holiday.. please consider this and change the policy. Otherwise it's a wonderful place to stay.

Family friendly

Perfect for two young families. Great shady outdoor space for little ones to play, and only a short walk to the beach. The property could have been cleaned a little better - there was dust and toys under furniture. This didn’t actually bother us though - the bathrooms were very clean and that matters more. The kitchen is lovely and very functional but while some miscellaneous leftovers in the pantry, there wasn’t a good supply of staples available (I.e salt, pepper, oil etc). We stayed with three kids under 3 and so appreciated the high chair and cot that were supplied. A baby gate would have been handy though. The AC worked well and the deck upstairs was lovely. Would recommend for families or multiple couples.

Great stay and hosts

We had a lovely time at Matt’s place. He was very responsive to messages and really seems guest focused. We really liked the house and location. Lots of space and ideal for a large family. The only negative is that the property wasn’t well cleaned when we arrived. But Matt was very apologetic and hopefully that was a one off.

Great holiday place

We had a great time during our stay. The house is very nice and clean and the surroundings very pleasant. It is very big to accommodate our families. Matthew was very prompt to all my queries and concerns. It is near the beach so kids enjoy swimming while adults enjoy crabbing and squiding.
