CYCLING/WALK TRAILS: Numerous options with these Middleton Beach/Emu Point close distance. Albany is known as a cycling city and brochures are available re: options for outlying areas of interest. Hiking options are in abundance inclusive with the wildflower season from Autumn through Spring it offers breathtaking views of the 'great outdoors'.
SEPPINGS LAKE; 5min walk to a naturalistic Lake Seppings immersed with marsh/bush. Multitude of Water friendly.' Seppings Birdwalk' located off of Emu Point Road...20 min walk. Varied birdlife in surrounding bushland/reserve.
MIDDLETON BEACH: Cafes open at 6am for Breakfast through to 9pm for light snacks at the Hybla.
Surf Club on the foreshore. Early morning swimmers.
Grab a paper supplied while you enjoy your meal/ up with some
locals.
Barbecues on the beach/Ayers it easy.
ELLEN COVE: 4km return scenic ocean/island views for walkers/bikers alike. More Birdlife in this bushland..(10 minutes walk from C'est La Vie) Whale Watching Platform.
MUSIC: Piano music midweek at the Hybla. Blues/Reggae/Jazz/Rock'n'Roll....Friday through to Sunday.
EMU POINT: Middleton Beach - Emu Point Walk - Bike trail. 1 hour walk return.Gourmet Breakfast/Drinks at 7am at Emu Point Cafe on the Foreshore.
FISHING: Middleton Beach is a popular fishing spot....Beach/Jetty and Rock fishing. Flathead have been known to drift around the jetty. Emu Point has seasonal fishing along man made rock wall just near cafe,
SURFING/PADDLE BOARDING: Middleton Beach does attract some light surfing. Little Beach off of Two Peoples Bay has more cumbersome waves for body-surfing as Denmark is a Surfers haven.
ALBANY WHALING STATION; This is located at the end point of Frenchman Bay Rd. Popular must see tourist option. Beach is 5 picnic/barbecue options. This bay can be seen from the Boardwalk at Middleton Beach. (Whale Tours are available: best times are from July - early November).
BLOWHOLES/GAP: these attractions are on the road to the Whaling Station as is Stoney has a different perspective of the Albany coastline.
THE WINDMILL FARM; detours off of Frenchman's Bay Rd (a lot to see on this road). Separate walking/viewing options so allow time to take it all in at your leisure. Bibbulmun Track starts here.
ANZAC VISITORS CENTRE: A 'must' see tourist attraction/personal point of interest. This was recently ranked 21 on the Worlds Lonely Planet list of accredited places of value to visit. This was built just recently to coincide with the 100 year Anzac Commemorations last year which attracted around 70,000 many people have come and gone since this time. A place that tells a story and takes you back in time.
Granite Skywalk: 2 hour return. Porongorup/Mount Barker Rd. Breathtaking Scenery.

BLUFF KNOLL; 1 hour drive. 3 hour return walk from base. Wildflower Season July - October.
THE LILY; 15 mins from Bluff Knoll. Restaurant owned by Pleun/Henny Hitzert. Pleun created this architectural masterpiece out of recycled materials ie; the old local jetty and the old bus station in Gnowangerup. Pleun & Henny are also musicians who share their love of music with the residents of Albany on occasion. Call to avoid disappointment on reservations.
