Our light and airy, 5-bedroom house (can sleep 14 maximum of 10 adults), is located just a short stroll to the beach & Jervis Bay's wonderful ocean playground.
Due to Stayz and NSW Tourism policies, we are meant to limit groups to no more than 10 adults, i.e. to get the maximum of 14 staying the booking would consist of at least 4 children.
Drifters is nestled in the middle of a family-friendly environment with a tranquil Bush outlook with the sounds of the waves & calling of the birds, it is just perfect for a getaway.
Drifter’s @ Callala Beach has lots of character, cathedral/vaulted ceilings, polished timber floors, large outdoor deck for alfresco dining framed by the bush & in-ground pool, all helping to give it a modern beach house feel.
With 5 bedrooms & lots of space in the 2 entertainment areas, there is plenty of room for a group of couples/friends, extended/large/multiple families.
We have new beds & the kitchen comes fully equipped with everything you would find at home & is full of the mod cons including a large screen LCD TV, DVD, Hi-fi, WI-FI, Netflix, BBQ & a wood combustion heater for the cooler months as well.

400M walk away you can enjoy the white sands of Jervis Bay/Callala Beach & look for the resident pods of Dolphins who come in very close regularly all year round!
Of course, there are many possible pursuits in and around the blue waters of Jervis Bay. The clear, crystal blue/green waters are perfect for diving, boating, kayaking, swimming, snorkeling, fishing, dolphin (a resident pod of dolphins regularly sited) & whale watching (in June/July & October/November).
Not to forget are the surfing beaches just a short drive away.
Off the water there is a beach or Bushwalking, in the house swimming pool, 9 hole golf course 5 minutes away, Cycling ( bring your bikes ), Tennis court hire along the beach, Lawn Bowls just a short distance from the house.
Explore point perpendicular, the old lighthouse & some of the fantastic beaches & walks along the way.

ONE NIGHT STAYS have a tariff of 50% of the following night applied to them. Ex: if the night you booked costs $250/night, and the cost for the ff night is $250 there will be an additional $125 to your final tariff (this only applies for one-night booking). HERE ARE SOME FAQ’s
What time is check-in & check-out? - Check-in: 3 pm | Check-out: 10 am (earlier/later times available by arrangement).
How far away from the beach will we be? - The distance to the beach is a 200m walk
Where do we collect the key from/drop it off to? - There is a key safe on-site, the code will be emailed to you (on the info brochure) 5-7 days prior to your arrival along with instructions for use
What day are the bins collected? - The bins are collected on Tuesday so please put them out Monday night (or Sunday if you are leaving Sunday)
What linen is supplied/do I need to bring? - We are BYO linen. Linen hire is available at request. for an additional $395. Important: If you have opted for linen hire, check-in will be at 4 PM to allow time for setup. However, we will do our best to accommodate a 3 PM check-in when possible.
Linen essentials unless you have taken up the linen hire option, you will need to bring: Bed sheets Pillowcases Bath
We supply mattress protectors, pillows and protectors, doonas with covers, hand towels, and tea towels.
PLEASE NOTE we do not supply toiletries, other essentials, food, and drinks(coffee capsules for the espresso machine (K-fee brand) if you enjoy a good coffee in the morning), bath mats, or beach towels.

How many plates/crockery/glasses etc are there? - There are more sets of plates/cutlery/glasses supplied than the number of people listed with additional plates & cutlery in the kitchenette.
Are you Pet-friendly? - Yes, we are pet-friendly, we just ask that you let us know, keep your pets off the beds/lounges & clean up any animal waste.
Is there WIFI? - Yes, there is, and also Netflix. Wi-Fi is available at the property but due to reception and service issues, it cannot be relied upon. Please note, that the Property owner and manager take no responsibility for the service reception of the available internet.
* Make a day trip via ferry to Huskisson from Myola for markets (1st Sunday of the month), cafes and Whale/dolphin watching cruises. * Walk along the shores of Jervis Bay National Park to Callala Bay * For the boaties, just a 5 mins drive to Callala Bay or Myola Boat Ramps *Less than 5min drive to the Callala Bay Shopping Centre offers most of your shopping needs (supermarket, butcher, chemist, bottle shop, post office, cafes, and hardware) * Culburra Beach is a short drive away where there is Woolworths, Doctors surgery, Surf Shop & much more.

We recently stayed at Driffters Callala beach and had a really enjoyable experience overall.Tha property is in a fantastic location just a short walkbto beach which made it perfect to a relaxing mornings and evening stroll.The house itself is spacoius and well set up,easily accomodating the whole family and friends.One of the highlights is a private pool- it was a great addition and made the stay even more enjoyable specially for relaxing and spending time together.Everything was clean,comfortable and thoughtfully arranged with plenty of space for everyone to unwind. Great home in a wonderful location. Easy walk to the beach and barista coffee up the road. Nice spacious backyard, we loved the pool! Did get very hot on the balcony upsatirs though, some extra shade would've been good to utilise this space more. Communication with hosts was easy which was appreciated.

Nice large property, suitable for a big family weekend away. Great location - minutes to the beach and nice pizza restaurant nearby. Cleanliness and maintenance of the property are significant areas for improvement - multiple cockroaches at our time of stay (both dead and alive), and difficult to lock front door and windows. Pool net was broken so pool was also covered in leaves.

The pool was fully cleaned, and a new scoop was placed before your arrival, but strong winds over the weekend caused leaves to fall in again. The cleaner also completed a spring clean before this, though we’ll follow up to ensure standards are maintained. For the windows, the property uses security screens and manual locking sticks, but we’ll recheck everything for ease of use.
We appreciate your feedback and hope to welcome you back for a smoother stay.
Lovely pool and property. Close by amd short walk to gorgeous white sand and dog friendly beach. Nb fbrubg supplies as ish and chip shop cash only and IGA at nearby Callalah Bay well stocked with great coffee at bakery next door but no shops at beach.

Excellent place
We had a great time at a very well equipped, spacious property. Excellent facilities, customer-service oriented owners and a lovely location. A couple of blocks from the beach, short drive to the shops, and plenty of room for adults and kids alike. Only regret was we couldn't stay longer.

Callala Beach is a lovely area for families. It’s quiet, child friendly and the beach is perfect for small children. Drifters is well set out for a large family, with a big living area and two rooms with bunk beds downstairs and a second living area, kitchen and three separate bedrooms upstairs. We really enjoyed our stay and would come back again.

Very nice and clean property. The owner has provided all the amenities. The swimming pool was so clean but we couldn't get in the water because of cold weather. Want to come again in this property in future.

The property was a bit run down needs a little bit of maintenance doors and windows hard to open and close and lock also cleaning of property on arrival was amiss, the barbeque was filthy covered with fat, greese and food particles

House was lovely and big, plenty of room to spread out. Backed onto bushland which was lovely. The house was well stocked with everything we needed. Good flat walk to the beach. The pool in the yard was lovely and clean which we enjoyed, just a bit tricky getting in and out with no rails.

BEAUTIFUL PROPERTY
The property satisfied all our holiday beach house expectations.
It was a cold and rainy weekend but the fireplace kept us warm and jolly.
We didn't venture out of the house much except to go to the beach because we were just happy to stay in the house - rest, relax, eat and enjoy good company.

We enjoyed our stay thoroughly. The swimming pool was a big hit and we all had a great time. Location is excellent as very close to the beach (walking distance). It would be a bonus to add aircon, a tv upstairs and some outdoor furniture for the pergola downstairs. Other than that the house has plenty of space for everyone and the kitchen is well equipped too!

Just perfect and great service
We had a lovely stay at Drifters over New Years with our family of 10. The house is light and spacious with lots of room for the kids and adults to play. The pool added another level of fun to the holiday and with the beach such a short walk away it was rare to find any of us not in swimmers. We had one issue in which the kitchen sink pipes began to leak on New Years Eve, but the owner Geoff had a plumber at the house within an hour and all was sorted quickly and efficiently. We are hoping to make our way back to Drifters again this year as we have made such beautiful memories there.

Great Location
The house was very clean and well presented and perfect for our family. The location is wonderful. The owner is very accommodating and understanding. We were very disappointed in the complaints from the neighbour who did not like us talking, laughing or the dogs barking. We did not enjoy or relax the weekend as we were so stressed from the phone calls of complaints from the neighbour. We thought we found the perfect holiday home for our family however I would not recommend this property if you want to go with teenage kids or dogs.

Hi Tracy, Thanks for taking the time to give us some feed back, our house manager & I work hard to make sure it is always clean & well presented. I do think that your comments on my neighbour are a bit harsh, in light of the fact that there was enough noise out side at midnight & until 1.30 am Saturday morning, to carry (noise carry's very easily at night) & disturb my neighbour, despite the house rules suggesting that gatherings be moved inside by 9.30-10 to avoid such occurrences. Additionally, your dogs were causing a lot of noise by barking at any new noise they heard (this was verified by a different neighbour across the road, that I spoke with today). While we are pet friendly I would like to point out that the expectation is that you keep the dogs under control, which was not the case here & is outlined in our house rules & terms & conditions (when I spoke with your husband the second time you had left the dogs out in the yard unsupervised). This does not excuse the way she chose to respond by yelling out, I do wish she had chosen to let me know her concerns so I could deal appropriately & have spoken with her, however I do think that there was genuine cause for complaint both times I called you. Lastly I felt that you being stressed because of the phone calls of complaints paints the picture that I was calling you several times a day or more, when we only spoke re the noise complaints twice, the first time on Saturday after the late night gathering on Friday night, where I also mentioned keeping the dogs under control & the second time being on the Sunday afternoon after you had left the dogs to their own devices & were again barking. We bought this house as again we fell in love with the cathedral ceilings in the upstairs living room & the fireplace for the winter weekends.

We just Love Callala Beach because it is close to Sydney (just over 2 hrs away for us) & has a sense of isolation to it without being truly isolated (20min drive gets you all the services you will need), not to mention That Callala Beach is dog-friendly as well!
