Relaxing Farm stay
My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this beautiful country setting. Mixed with the paddocks and nearby Glenelg river, the bird life is fantastic as well as spotting many Kangaroos and even Emus.
The cottage itself was full of country charm and character.
Amazing property, very relaxing. My partner and I, along with our 15 month old fur baby staffy thoroughly enjoyed our peaceful, low key getaway. Ivy is an amazing host - the cottage is clean, cosy and has everything you need!
Perfect farm stay
This property is the perfect farm stay for some peace and quiet amongst animals and wildlife (although watch out for roos on the road at dusk!). The house was very clean and comfortable with plenty of space and privacy. We enjoyed the complimentary country breakfast of eggs, bacon and sausage and of course delicious home made biscuits. It is a very relaxing place to stay if you don't want to go anywhere, just to sit back and relax with a book or walk around the property down the creek. It is also within driving distance of the Coonawarra wine region, a great day trip and we brought back plenty of goodies to enjoy by the fire. The owner was away during our stay but we were perfectly taken care of by the neighbour looking after the property. Would stay again and maybe bring the family.
We enjoyed our stay and loved the area.
Patch of nature
The cottage is warm and cosy. The kitchen is well equipped and the walks are filled with interesting things to see and hear.
Quaint cottage off the beaten track
Very comfy beds. Lots of supplies left by Ivy. Great to have a dog friendly place to stay in the Casterton area. Each couple had a dog so we appreciated the wide open spaces for dogs to run around.
Would have liked a second toilet in the house but we managed okay.
