Fly Fishing and Nature Lovers' Mecca in Tasmanian Central Highlands

Cast your line out into one of Tasmania's most pristine, naturally stocked highland lakes. The shack is available for accommodation for up to 6 people for a minimum of 2 days. Book now to avoid disappointment.

It is not unusual to see trout rising along the shore line within the comfort of the shack.

Relax and enjoy the surroundings

The relatively small lagoon is shallow with many weed beds with a grassy surround. It is the home of a large population of self sustaining wild brown trout.

The view through the panoramic north facing windows of the living room allow for uninterrupted views of the lagoon. Watch the ever changing weather fronts, the fish rising and platypus swim by while you contemplate the day’s activities before you. There is no better place to rejuvenate and invigorate your spirit, energy and your fly fishing skills

An exceptional cottage on an amazing location overlooking little pine lagoon
Little Pine Shack is anything but a shack, the accommodation is exceptional, Provides everything you need for a short or long stay, the view from every room including the bathroom is breathtaking overlooking little pine lagoon, perfect for those who like to fly fish for the Tasmanian Brown Trout that inhabit the lagoon out front, or those like me who do t fish the perfect base camp for all the walking tracks nearby, along the many mountain lakes and even Lake St Clair National Park is all within close proximity, and to come back at the end of the day, sit out on the deck watching the anglers dance their rods & fly to catch that perfect trout or just relax in front of the large wood fire while the sunset colours blend with the waters over the lagoon, that serenity will stay with me always, I will highly recommend Little Pine Shack to all my family and friends and I look forward to returning again in the future.

Amazing!
Beautiful shack with everything you need. Nice and warm. Loved every second of it. Caught a 2.5kg brown trout on untouchables shore, which was awesome. Thanks.
