Council regulation limit the number of pets to two (unless they are teensy – ring to enquire).
Please note - pets cannot be left alone for long periods - maximum 3 hours. If you plan on going out for longer they must go with you. We do have a doggysitter who comes to the house - you pay directly.

Possibly this site can only charge for one pet - if that. We shall contact you directly if you are bringing a second pet (pet fee $75 per stay - not per night)

PLEASE NOTE: The base rate for this property is for 2 guests in 1 bedroom/ 1 ensuite.

Extra guests are $40 per guest per night

Bedroom access is determined by guest numbers. This allows smaller groups to enjoy the property without needing to pay for unused space. You will have the home to yourself and bedrooms/bathrooms not needed will be locked.

Two guests have automatic access to 1 bedroom, 4 guests have automatic access to 2 bedrooms and 6 guests have automatic access to 3 bedrooms

Should you require more bedrooms than your numbers indicate i.e. you have single occupancy issues, please adjust the number of guests staying and this site will allocate additional bedrooms

Should you have further queries re bedding selection (kings or singles) please contact us to enquire once you have made your booking

There is a maximum of 2 guests per bedroom and 6 guests in 3 bedrooms. The 6 guests is inclusive of children.

As we are unable to be opening and closing bedrooms mid-stay open bedrooms are charged for the full stay

Curries not to be cooked or reheated due to pervasive and lingering odours. Similarly no smoking
Only guests booked and paid for permitted to stay. Immediate eviction for all guests with no refunds will be applied:
Pets cannot be left alone for extended periods of time - maximum 3 hours. If you go out for longer they must go with you. We have doggysitting available - both day and night. Please enquire when booking.
As we have abundant, and very tame, birdlife we are sorry but we cannot have cats stay

Family with pet getaway

Excellent location to the town of Bright, all the conveniences you need on a holiday. Clean, nice property to stay in and the puppy loved being near the park. We will be back next year!

A beautiful house with all the essentials to make the stay comfortable and very pleasant including a kitchen with lots of utensils and pans for self catering, dishwashing powder in the laundry and welcome treats for us. The house is super clean and well presented. Catherine was excellent with her communication and recommendations of places to eat. A superb location close to parks and a track along the Ovens River into the main street. Quiet and beautiful. Highly recommend for a family group.

A great dog-friendly location

From the time of making our reservation, the process has been smooth, including a phone call from Catherine, the owner within a day of the reservation being confirmed and, follow-up emails with helpful details (even bringing along slippers!). The well-kept house is located in a quiet cul-de-sac, a few meters from the dog-park and, a 15-min stroll along the river to the town, or 10 minutes' walk along the road. A really lovely surprise was the house being heated for our arrival, along with the complementary treats and tote bag! The appliances are of reputable makes and worked very well and, what comfy beds!

Family holiday

Tessies house and studio were perfect for us and our adult children. Perfect living/lounge/kitchen area with lots of cookware for preparing large meals. Crisp sheets and quality linen. Great location - 10 minute stroll to the Bright Brewery. Plenty of room for parking multiple cars. Highly recommended!

Lovely setting, quiet but only a short walk from town

The property was well set up for a group and dogs with bowls and doggy bags supplied! Was great to have aircon and ceiling fans in each room as it was an unusual heatwave week during our stay in bright! Close to dog park and some beautiful trails. Overall a well appointed and comfortable property - we will be back!

We LOVEDTessies house! It was clean, comfortable and well stocked. The owner was VERY welcoming. The fire was lovely and the back yard secure. We were so close to the town centre and great dog park/walking trails. An amazing stay and getaway from the big smoke! Bright us such a Quaint and beautiful place. Fantastic property

A house that gives you a warm hug the moment you walk in the door. The dogs loved the secure backyard AND the park/river at the end of the street. Delicious deep bath for soaking and a cracking wood fire. None of us wanted to leave, definately will be returning and recommending.

Wow - Amazing Getaway

Two couples, one mother in law, one baby and one Golden Labrador stayed here for the first time. Spotless, very comfortable, spacious, conveniently located and overall, most inviting. Property had all the luxuries, warm doonas, electric blankets, heated towel racks, wood fire etc etc. The owners were a pleasure to deal with. Our clan will certainly be revisiting.

Comfortable and well-located

While located within walking distance to Bright's village and the Ovens River, Tessies House is tucked at the end of a cul-de-sac so is very private and quiet. The accommodation is excellent -- clean, spacious and comfortable. The house has a well-appointed kitchen and BBQ, with a lovely garden. Our hosts provided coffee for the plunger, licorice and dog treats, so the house is obviously pet friendly. Our two families had a wonderful weekend there; highly recommended.

Lovely stay

Thank you for our enjoyable stay at Tessies, Bright. The house had plenty of room and the beds were very comfortable. It is well catered for if you have a pet. The back yard is enclosed and there is a park at the end of the street that leads to the creek, that is perfect for dog walking. Thank you the the property manager who was very warm and helpful.

Brilliant place for people and four legged friends

Had a lovely stay with my family and mother over New Year. Our dog was well catered for in the property and with an off lead park just at the end of the road, it was a great location. Easy to walk into town and Bright is so pet friendly it made it easy to enjoy the delights of Bright with our dog. The dog sitting service was easy to use.

Tessies at beautiful Bright

What a wonderful place to stay late winter, close to town, easy access for walking along the trails, exceptionally clean (and warm), well set out with everything one could need. Tried to book again over summer but couldn't get in!!! Highly recommend Tessies, especially for families or groups of friends.

Classy, spacious & premium quality

We have stayed before at Tyntynder Lodge, their other property. This time as there were more of us we took Tessie House. It is fabulous. Everything we wanted was here. We had a big family dinner and there was easily enough space for all us - and of all generations. My family told me they were the most comfortable beds they have ever slept in - they even asked for the brand of bed. We plan to make this an annual get together as it suits the whole family so well with so many bathrooms. Thanks heaps, See you next time
