Great location
Nice property, plenty of yard for dog to get about and nice covered area out the back
Excellent property for a stay, everything you need is available in the Kitchen, bathroom and laundry. Good location close to Portland, great outdoor space. Would recommend.
James and family.
Great property if you're out and about. Not set up for sitting up watching TV. TV is not a smart TV and only has local stations.
It is close to shops which is great.
The house is compact and tidy, though is old and tired.
Front garden is beautiful, and nice to sit on bench in the sun.
Gap under back gate a slight concern as small dogs could crawl out.
Overall - nice house.
The plusses of this property was the comfy beds, clean bedding, abundance of towels, toiletries, kitchen & bathroom products and cleaning equipment. Wifi was good, outdoor area and lounge were good size. The owner/host was prompt and friendly with communication.
Down side was that I found the floors, cupboards and overall cleanliness to be below standard. Dead flies & dust around windows and skirts, cobwebs in corners and a few dead cockroaches under the bungalow bunk. The rugs could do with replacing and the wooden floors were sticky. The floor in the bungalow is a bit unsteady on walking through the door. I cleaned up a lot of stuff myself because I’m a weirdo that actually likes cleaning. When I mopped the floors the water was black a few times over. The bins were also full to the brim.
However, as my cousin rightly pointed out - if the tenants prior to myself were dirty and left the place in a state bad enough to fill the bins, the regular cleaner would not have had hardly any time to do a deep clean if they had to pick up all the mess and make 10 beds plus do a surface clean.
Overall, I loved the house. Great position, plenty of beds and linen and space to relax. Backyard secure to house medium to large dogs (not little ones as they could squeeze under gates). Aircon, washer, dryer and dishwasher all in good working order. Hot water a plenty! (Take care with little ones because it is hot!) This isn’t a 5 star hotel, it’s an older style home, but it is comfortable and central and relaxing once clean.
Things to update - rugs or get rid of them altogether. A flywire at the back door. And an extra set of keys would have been handy.
The lounge light works just fine, we figured out the fan remote has a button on it for the light on the last day! 😂
Lovely house to stay in could use some updating and a deep clean

Not very clean and not suitable for small dogs
Starting with the positive - the house was well located, with comfortable beds and a good bathroom. There were plenty of spare towels and extra blankets. However, the house really needed a good clean - particularly the kitchen. There was a bowl of old noodles in the microwave, and plates and cutlery in the cupboard were dirty. Throughout the house we were frequently welcomed by the wildlife (cockroaches). Lounge ceiling light did not work and some of the remote controls had no batteries. The rear yard is not secure for small dogs, we had arranged to bring our Jack Russell upon booking, and were disappointed to find a large 30cm gap under the back gate. Most dogs would be able to escape.
