The location of the apartment was great. Easy walk to The Rocks, the bridge, and Circular Quay. We enjoyed the beautiful parkland around the Barangaroo area. The apartment itself was clean but was set over three levels with steep stairs between each. Not appropriate for young children or older people who could potentially fall. The kitchen was not very well equipped and they didn't provide hand towels or tea towels. The beds were comfortable and there was air conditioning in each room. It was reasonable but not great accommodation.
Great location within walking distance to numerous attractions. Met our needs in terms of number of beds and facilities available. It was a bit tricky to access the property via the back alleyway as it is difficult for cars to go through there.
Brilliant location and exceptionally comfortable digs
This place was exactly what we were looking for. It had enough beds for the each of us. And boy, the beds were comfortable! The stairs are a bit tricky, but the character to this old, well kept home was beyond charming. The location was amazing. A water view from one of the bedrooms. A few minutes walk and we were in The Rocks, Circular Quay, and in about 15 minutes we were the heart of the CBD. We recommend this to any and all who are wanting to experience Sydney.

This property was a real let down. First impressions count and the host had us come through the alley way which wasn't the most aesthetically pleasing with garbage everywhere. Once we got into the property there was a live cockroach floundering on his back right inside the door. With a walk thru of the property, we discovered that it was on 3 floors which we did not expect. We are all seniors and the steep stairs made it difficult for us to navigate. I could not find anywhere in the listing that it was multi-level. This definitely needs to be highlighted. Also, during our walk thru the property appeared to be dirty. The walls have black soot like marks, the stair railings were filthy. We did have to wash them so that we could use the railings. Finally, 2 keys were provided to the property. Only one worked to open the front door.

Stairs can be steep for some travellers but this is an older home with lots of charm and stairs are characteristic for the home. The location was excellent for getting around everywhere by foot. Would stay here again.

Staying at the rocks
The location of this property was excellent for us as we were catching a cruise boat. We were able to walk from the property to the Cruise Terminal also to the Opera house. It wasn’t easy getting into the place but we sorted it out the layout of the place was good and the kitchen and bathrooms were very good.
The location was fantastic, easy to get to public transport and city centre. The stairs were definitely steep but the aircon the room was very much appreciated.
Very charming neighborhood, walking distance to many of the downtown attractions including the Opera House. Several rustic bars and restaurants nearby. Perfect for our little three day get away.
A lovely historic terrace with plenty of modern comforts in an excellent location. Great pubs a stones throw away, beds comfortable, kitchen well equipped. Top class view from upper storeys. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

While the location of this property is excellent, the home itself is poorly maintained and in need of significant repairs and a thorough professional cleaning. During our mid-January stay, Sydney experienced several days of heavy rain, which exposed serious water-intrusion problems. Water flowed in through the front door onto the hardwood floors, and there were multiple ceiling leaks in the third-floor bedrooms—one of which was actively dripping onto a cellphone in the middle of the night. We also encountered ants in the front third-floor bedroom. The stairwell is visibly neglected and requires deep cleaning and repainting; marks and residue from previous guests are evident along the steep steps. Throughout our stay, the house had a persistent moldy, musty odor, raising concerns about overall cleanliness and moisture damage. This home should not be offered on VRBO. I've requested a refund of one night's rental fee but have not heard from the owner. DO NOT stay here.
Location, location, location, the home is in the center of action. It was noisy and we expected it was Christmas holiday time! The home is dated but adds to the local feel of the place.
The house was near the CBD and In a wonderful position. The house was partially clean and the air conditioners were full of dust inside in the filter with difficulty to pump warm air. The 2 bedroom upstairs the mattress was ok, but the mattress downstairs was terrible for my back. Both shower was fine, but the windows in the 2 single bed was hard to open and an hazard. Wonderful location and view, but to improve.

Location Location
Great location and base for our girls weekend away. The levels which is fine as long as your ok with extremely steep steps. Pub and few restaurants next door, walking distance to all the attractions. Home needs a little TLC and appliances updated but beds were comfortable.
The house has a cute layout. The back door entrance lets you into the kitchen and dining area. There is a bed and bathroom on this level. The front door enters into the 2nd level living room area, with the second bath on this level. The third level has two bedrooms. The stairs are steep and narrow. It was very clean, and the host was very responsive to any questions we had. Would stay here again. It’s a great location.
The location was unreal. As other reviews have said, there are two steep flights of stairs but this was no problem. Everything works andxthe house coped with 30mm of rain in 15 minutes!! The only thing I thought could be mentioned is that the tv isn't a smart tv but in this modern device age that wasn't a problem.

We loved our stay. There was a lot of room and it was warm. The heat pumps are great!
It was easy to walk to the train station or corner shop and close to the city centre.
The stairs are a little narrow and there’s 2 lots of them so I wouldn’t recommend for anybody that couldn’t do stairs but other than that we had a lovely stay, it has everything you need in it and it was very nice and clean.

The location of this property is the best part about it. Easy walk to the Opera House, the Harbour Bridge and the hustle and bustle of The Rocks and Circular Quay. Communication with the owner was a bit challenging. Not sure if that was a VRBO site thing or if they just chose to not respond when I tried to contact them before our booking.
We had a great stay. Parking can be tricky but Lisa assisted with arranging permit for 2 of the 3 days stay. Beds were comfortable. House could do with a bit of TLC mainly in the courtyard area and some upgrading of facilities such as providing an outdoor setting. These old houses can be tricky for smaller children or people with mobility issues due to the very steep and narrow steps so keep this in mind. Front door can only be locked with a key meaning that when I wanted to go out I either had to leave without a key or leave the people at home locked in. Would stay here again!
