About this property

Ithaca - Home of Heritage Grafton

Grafton Heritage Accommodation welcomes you to Ithaca, our beautiful restored weatherboard home in the heritage conservation area of Grafton.

Our house is furnished with antique furniture, handmade oriental rugs with large airy living areas. There are two full bathrooms with ensuite to the main bedroom. All the beds are made up with 1000 thread count sheets with gorgeous Sheridan quilts and cushions. Two of the Queen bedrooms have their own TV's and we have just installed free wifi.
Also available is Netflix and Stan.
The house is located close the to centre of town, easy walking distance to the Grafton Race Course, three blocks to the Base Hospital and 2 minute walk to the Grafton Services club.

Lovely Stay

Lovely big home, great location.We had a family event to attend at the Grafton Racecourse, it was walkable distance.We enjoyed coming back to the house and socialising on the wraparound verandah.Perfect for larger groups of friends or families.

A welcome stay

The house is amazing - historic and yet feels like home. Well stocked kitchen with everything you could need. The breakfast items and little touches were very welcome, including having a Christmas tree to decorate with family. Pool was very welcome given the warm weather. Would stay again.

A beautiful, cosy and thoughtfully decorated home, every little detail was perfect from the beautiful bathrooms, cosy beds right down to the coffee and chocolates. The garden is lovely and we were very lucky to have such cool weather in Jan.

ITHACA was a wonderful house to stay in at Grafton. It felt like we had stepped back in time. All the rooms were beautiful. It was close to everything we needed. Deb was a beautiful and generous host. Nothing was too much trouble. We would love to stay they again.

A ‘Home away from Home’ for Family Xmas Time

What a gift to find the splendid “Ithaca House” to have all our adult children, partners & our 5yr old granddaughter (Sydney, Perth,GoldCoast & Newcastle) together to share the festive season with extended family in Grafton. We felt instantly at home in superb rooms with every creature comfort we could need. Deb thought of everything-an extra drinks fridge, substantial supplies for breakfast including beautiful eggs from her chooks, there was even a Christmas tree for the 5yo to decorate for the obligatory ‘present-fest’ on Christmas morning.!! Next plan will be to try out the home in winter when the cosy blankets, fluffy robes, ample heaters, & board games can come into their own. Thank you to Deb & family for providing this welcome retreat. Cheers Kate & Greg

A great heritage experience in a lovely country town

Debbie could not have been more helpful. Meeting us on arrival to show us through the house and explaining how everything works. She gave us great local information. Debbie was only a phone call away when some minor issues cropped up. The beds were comfy. I would recommend staying with Debbie.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Ithaca House in grafton it is a beautifully presented federation home. What made our stay especially special was the care the owner Deborah had put into the comforts for us .we stayed throughout christmas and were provided a xmas tree, an extra fridge for drinks, platters for our christmas lunch presentation and a fridge full of goodies.Many thanks to Deb for making this a memorable time for us we will definately stay there again Carol & Mark Port Macquarie NSW .

Wonderful experience

We stayed at Ithaca for 3 days during the Jacaranda Festival. It is a beautiful house and fully equipped with everything you need. Our wonderful hostess looked after our every need and left us plenty of food including the best free range eggs from her own chooks. We had a lovely time and hated to leave and have recommended Ithaca to friends.

Exquisite heritage home in beautiful Grafton

I have since I was a young child loved jacarandas and heritage homes. To be able to attend the Jacaranda Festival in Grafton and stay in a heritage home was for me a dream come true and that's exactly what Ithaca is - a beautiful heritage dream come true. Deb was a wonderful host who met us and made us feel at home immediately. The provisions and treats she left for us were so very generous. The home is a delight with no luxury spared. If you love the feel of a beautiful heritage home then this is the place for you. If you are in the area I would highly recommend a stay at Ithaca - definitely something you should experience yourself rather than just reading my review!

Beautiful house!

Excellent property, well appointed kitchen and very comfortable beds and lounge suite. Kitchen came well stocked with all essentials plus fresh eggs, bacon and even enough pasta, sauces etc for first meals! What a lovely thought after such a long journey. The bedrooms were all different and beautifully decorated. A true home away from home. The owner is vey friendly and helpful. We would definitely recommend staying at any of her beautiful property's.
