About this property

The Lilypad Esperance

The Lilypad is a self contained, two bedroom, holiday home situated within the grounds of our residence in Esperance. We are on a peaceful, five acre block that boasts some amazing native Australian flora and fauna. It has been recently renovated and is fully equipped with everything you require for a relaxing getaway.

We are located 10km east of Esperance town centre, conveniently on the way to the world renowned Cape Le Grand National Park, where you can find the whitest sands in Australia.

We supply linen and clean towels for your visit and can provide a port-cot and highchair on request.

We are a pet friendly accomodation, welcoming well behaved pets. We have a large enclosed area surrounding a deck at the back of the property to relax with your pets. We offer a baby sitting service too so that you can leave your fury friends in safe hands whilst you explore the area's national park or enjoy a night out.

We have plenty of room on the property to park your vehicle and can also accommodate boats and trailers you may wish to bring along.


Esperance is renowned for its beautiful beaches and you will be spoilt for choice. Whether you want to swim, surf or take a stroll, there is a beach for you.

Lovely location just out of town. Well presented and very welcoming hosts. Only issue was being woken by 2 very noisy roosters both mornings from 4am onwards. Sleep deprived long distance driving was then a challenge. We loved the region and the advise from our hosts was invaluable. Cute onsight doggie to cuddle too.

Great spot

We had a wonderful time at the lilypad. Nice and close to town Centre but far enough away from the hustle and bustle. Would definitely recommend a stay even with your 4 legged friend.

Can’t recommend highly enough to plan your stay in Esperance at Lily Pad! So peaceful and close to everything you envisage exploring in and around Esperance. Great rooms, kitchen and huge bathroom/laundry ‘hall’! Thx Karen & family for sharing your beautiful property!

Comfortable, clean country stay.

Owner was very quick to answer any questions and offered options of places to visit. We loved the fact we could have our little dog with us and there was a secure yard for her to explore. Also a small dam with a gazebo to sit if you wanted. ( A few to many mozzies to sit outside. ) Location was good too.

Perfect home away from home

The property is in close proximity to Esperance and has everything that you could possibly need. The cabin is secluded and peaceful, perfect for a good nights sleep. All the comforts are available to you no matter the weather. A fantastic stay, we will definitely be back. :)

Absolutely beautiful!

We had the most wonderful stay at the lilypad. Easily the best accommodation we’ve ever stayed at! We’ve been to quite a few tiny houses and bnb’s and it really stood out to us how extremely welcoming and hospitable Karen was. She even allowed us to go out to the National park by watching our dogs for us. The house was exquisitely clean and very cozy. The perfect weekend stay. Only downside was… we wish we could’ve stayed longer!

A true piece of heaven

The Lilypad was exactly as it was advertised. The accommodation was clean and spacious. It contained everything that guests would need to make it feel like a home away from home. The hosts allowed me to have my privacy and I could come and go as I chose. The accommodation is situated in a tranquil and quiet setting. The wildlife gave me a sense of getting back to nature….and it wasn’t short with the different animals I’d seen. The hosts gladly catered for my 4 legged family member, allowing her to safely play outside in a fully fenced-off backyard which was definitely a huge plus for me. Would I recommend this beautiful place to my friends and family? Absolutely 👍 To the hosts….Thank you so much for a highly relaxing break….I’d love to return….10/10

The Lilypad is a fabulous cosy, beautiful and peaceful place to stay. Sitting outside on the deck area, listening to the birds, frogs, chooks and sounds of nature is restoring. A great place to relax after a day of exploring.The enclosed area was great for the dogs, I feel grateful to have been able to stay in such a place with my dogs.Thank you Karen and Jason, a fabulous place you have created. I hope to come and stay again :).

The house was excellent; clean, cosy and the fresh eggs from the free ranging hens was most welcome.I did have some difficulty using the Stayz website for communication prior to the visit but eventually we worked it out.Karen and her partner greeted us shortly after our arrival and gave us a quick run down of places to eat that were dog friendly.The fenced yard was excellent for Tilly and the deck area was lovely though we didn't really get to spend time on it.All in all it was a quiet sanctuary to retreat to after a busy day touring around.I highly recommend it if you have a fur baby.

Perfect family getaway

We have had the best time at the Lilypad, we came with our 2 kids and 2 dogs to visit family, the accommodation is super cosy and the photos really don’t do it justice, yard out the back is fenced for pets and lovely for relaxing. It has everything we need, and while I thought we were a decent drive out of town it’s really not far at all, and very close to a nice Brewery. Jason and Karen have been so kind and helpful, we’ll definitely make this our place to stay when in Esperance.

Rest and recovery

My family and I chose to stay at The Lilypad for rest and recovery from our busy work lives, this place was all that and more, the only issue we did have was having to listen to children screaming and yelling playing in the shed right next to the house, which was abot off putting.We did however enjoy the little walks along the track with our puppy, and he enjoyed hearing all the difference noises and sniffing all the different smells around the area.All in all ot was a great stay and the host Karen was amazing keeping me up to date with check in and location.
