Breakaway Holiday House - close to beach

“Breakaway Holiday House”

Situated right in town in beautiful Streaky Bay, this very comfortable, air conditioned 3 bedroom holiday home has almost every modern appointment. Set up to sleep up to 8 people (adults and children). Two bedrooms have queen beds, and the third has two double bunks. Each bedroom is newly carpeted and has ceiling fans for added summer comfort. All beds have pillows and dunas, and guests can choose to bring their own linen or hire ours ($40/stay. Please let us know by phone or email if you would like to take up this option).

The house also features a recently, fully renovated kitchen and bathroom for your comfort.

There is a large, comfortable lounge-dining room with TV/DVD; free wifi to NBN, and views to the sea. The kitchen is very well equipped with fridge/freezer, stove/oven, dishwashing machine, microwave and all the cookware, crockery and cutlery likely to be needed. The laundry has a washing machine and a separate chest freezer for food storage (and your fish catch!!).

The large yard is fully fenced, contains a shed for boat or car, and there is a large back verandah with outdoor seating and a BBQ for outside cooking/entertaining. Fish cleaning facilities are provided out the back with a sink, running water and a light.

The house is 5 minutes walk to the town centre, jetty, beach, hotel, post office, shops, cafes etc, and a 2 minute drive to the nearest boat landing.

Breakaway may be booked for a minimum of 3 nights in peak season or 2 nights at other times.

Great fishing trip

A great base camp for fishing holiday. Suitable to take your own boat over for the perfect fishing trip at Streaky Bay and Bairds Bay. Owner is friendly, communicative and helpful, will stay again!

Place was not clean. Washing machine had been used to wash dog beds or similar. TV did not work. Owner not good at communication. After washing machine was cleaned by cleaner owner promised renumeration for inconvenience. Despite us sending text after text they were ignored. AVOID.

Great Little Hide Away Gem house.

Relaxing Stay in Streaky Bay

Breakaway Holiday House was a great place to spend a few days in the lovely town of Streaky Bay. The house is old in style & has a few squeaky floor boards, but this adds to the charm of the house & the holiday feel. The location of the house is wonderful, only a short 3-4min walk into town & the foreshore. The house is comfortably furnished, clean and a well equipped kitchen. There is plenty of space to park and an outside seating area. If we were to return to Streaky Bay, we would love to stay at Breakaway again.

Great little house

Our second time staying in Breakaway. It's the perfect little house for a trips to Streaky. A short walk from the town centre and jetty but tucked away where it's nice and quiet. A nice touch was the A/C already being on for us when we arrived as the weather was very hot. It was beautiful to walk in to a nice cool space. Would recommend Breakaway for families or small groups.

Very good & convenient

Overall very good property & excellent, quiet location. Good facilities. Would have been good to have some "essentials" that many other places we have stayed have provided - alfoil, glad wrap, spray, bottled oil & egg rings. Very sasified with our stay & will be booking again for next year.

Perfect Holiday House

Breakaway is the perfect holiday house with everything you could need. Plenty of room for cars and boats, on a quiet street, lovely glimpses of the bay and only a quick stroll into the heart of Streaky. Inside was immaculately clean with a modern kitchen and bathroom. My 2 favourite things were the wrap around window in the master bedroom and the Nespresso machine. We booked agin for next year right away.
