The property and the owner, Bruce, are very welcoming! The bed is one of the comfiest ever, I slept through all night which never happens anywhere else. Lovely, unique setting. Will try to stay there again but a bit longer.
We were delighted to stay at Bruce’s gorgeous studio accommodation. We had a fantastic stay with our Samoyed and we all felt so welcome 😁 The super relaxing spa pool was a real highlight!
Beautiful acerage.Very comfortable studio which has been decorated with great imagination and flair.Friendly host for whom no request was too great,Bruce went over and beyond in all areas as a host.Highly recomended.
Butterflies,birds and super gardens,magnificent spa.
The apartment was cosy, clean and very nicely decorated with all the comforts of home. The spa was amazing and best of all it was basically all to our selves. Very Clean.
Bruce was a fantastic host and helpful if you wanted anything.
We will return. Quiet with just a touch of wildlife. It was like a bushland get away, absolutely wonderful time.

Firstly let me say that this review is written by the worst guest I’ve ever hosted in 6 years.
The list of disgusting and disrespect that accompanies this guest is long.
Firstly let me say that the curtains are fine and close as any curtain does.
Secondly the area that was chosen by you Ross not your wife is clearly not Airlie beach and had you wanted to stay in Airlie maybe you should have picked accomodation there.
I wish you had.
The studio is located central to Proserpine for shopping, the waterfalls, dam and the beautiful Hideaway Bay.
As for the part about the garage?
The external cladding of a dwelling does not define the interior.
Lastly the privacy.
You came and drank your wine and chatted with me when it suited you until your rude wife who obviously wrote this arrived.
Never drawing the curtains and also asking for my help with sorting your tyre problem.
That I helped you save $200 fixing.
The studio was left in a filthy state and now this review.
Any one looking at this can see that these people are the first in six years that have felt that they need to write lies and be those who are just not nice people.
Arrived and was met by the host who made me feel welcome straight away! Chilled out in the spa with some beers which was exactly what I was after! The host even cooked me a bbq and we enjoyed some great conversations, thanks Bruce!
It was hard to find a place for our small furry friend, Bruce made us feel very welcome and there was no judgement in having a pet as most places will not accept your pet. Excellent host, very welcoming, you were made to feel at home. Would highly recommend staying here. 10 out of 10.
The property lived up to our expectations and even more, the host Bruce was very friendly and he has created a unique piece of paradise. If passing through or just want to relax this is the place to be.

Lovely location for the quaint, rustic studio!
We really enjoyed our 2 nights here. Not far from Proserpine, not far from the Dam and lovely drives on the doorstep. Bruce the host is very friendly and helpful. The studio is basically, but perfectly adequately appointed

Great little studio away from the crowds!
Butterfly Studio is a unique place, a few kms from Airlie Beach and ideal if you prefer peace and quiet to the noise and bustle. The studio has been built by Bruce and is completely unique! While it is small, it has everything you need and Bruce and Mardi are great hosts. However it's still only 10 minutes or so to get to Airlie Beach for trips and Bruce can recommend things to see and do in the region as well and runs his own local tour company.
Great place and we'd definitely stay again.

About the host
Hosted by Bruce Morrison
I have run a tour business teaching survival, bush foods and local history for 14 years. Amongst this I have also worked in several other areas of tourism. Sailing charters, fishing, quad biking and laser skirmish. I enjoy hosting the studio very much and helping guests plan how to make the best of their time here.
Why they chose this property
The property is called Kgari. This means paradise in local indigenous language. The property has a relaxing atmosphere and is quiet and private. With seasonal waterfalls and 4 acres to enjoy. Butterfly’s, birds, and some unique Australian wild life are all regulars in the gardens.
What makes this property unique
The studio is best described as quirky. With lots of glass and barn style window in front of the bed so you can open up and feel like your amongst the garden. An outdoor fire pit and bbq area for relaxing and watching the abundant stars at night.
