Perfect Location and Space
The accommodation is in a stunningly beautiful location with uninterrupted views of the ocean. Newport Luxury was great value for money.
The accommodation and surroundings were reminiscent of a retreat.
The hosts are very helpful and welcoming.
Photos are very accurate although the property is more stunning in person.
The beds were very comfortable and the rooms very tastefully decorated
Nothing was a problem for the hosts
There were thoughtful touches left at the property
Highly recommend a stay
We had a girls nye trip and had a great time! The house was lovely - decent bedrooms and enough fans. Pool was an absolute treat to relax at also! Would definitely stay again
Great for families and friends!
We spent a lot of time around the amazing pool as our toddler loved it and we could relax ourselves knowing he was safe and happy. It was also a great place to chill out with our friends once the toddler was in bed! Walking access to Newport beach was also a bonus.
Only negative was it being a hassle to carry all our stuff up and down the steps to reach the property but we knew to expect this from the listing details.
Thank you Karen. Next time.around ask us to help you up and down with the goods
Thank you for being such wonderful guests
We absolutely loved our stay.
We loved the location. Close walk or drive to beach and shops. Amazing views overlooking Newport. Pool is incredible. Great entraining/bbq area. We had the bottom floor of the house so felt nice and private in our own space. Very comfortable house with everything you need. Street parking was tight if there is a few of you but there is a sports oval close by with stairs to the street so didn’t bother us at all. Would definitely recommend to friends and family.
Thank you Lucy and friends for being such model guests.
You left the property immaculate and were very respectful of all the rules.
Best wishes and we hope to see you again
The listing would make it seem as if this were an individual property. However the owners live directly above. While it says no shared spaces, you definately need to pass through their space to get to yours and you always have the feeling you are in someone else's space. Smile for the cameras. The top of stairs lead to a locked door which leads to the owners part of the house. We could not find the owners when we arrived just a bunch of passive aggressive notes and a set of keys. When I did interact with the owners I was greeted with "who are you?" Then after an awkward encounter we tried to sort out parking. The owners seemed to think it would be a good solution to their one car space would be to park me in... all night. Then it took 15 minutes to find them in the morning to leave. It's 35 minutes drive from the closest station, really far from anything really.
Overpriced for what you get.
To all people reading this response, have to thank Mitchell Day for making an attempt to so brazenly misrepresent facts. Firstly Mitchell must re read the listing and comprehend that it states accommodation is part of a large building, where does it state that the entire building is being leased for the stay. The common area between others living on the property and other short term guests is the steps leading into the property. How Mitchell Day conclude owners live above the property is a mystery because it is a caretaker who lives there to manages the property. A walkway is a common area, a shared space has a boundary definition eg sharing a kitchen, sharing a bathroom or sharing a bedroom. Always in buildings lifts and walkways are common to people living and cannot be avoided. The only time people bring notice to this fact is when they are doing something that is not being considered wholly honourable like sneaking in more guests than allowed and paying for fewer or bringing in strippers or escorts, I don't want to go any further into this and i will leave this to the readers to work out what actually went on that evening at the accommodation. By the passive aggressive notes possibly Mr Day means an A-Frame board which says "Welcome to 56 Lower, head this way for your accommodation. Mr Day probably expected Hula dancers in grass skirts to receive him and put flowered necklaces around his neck to welcome him, unfortunately this is not Hawaii it is Sydney Australia. Addressing that the property is 35 minutes from any station should have been researched by Mitchell Day prior to booking the property not after, BTW there are other modes of transport such as buses, taxis or he could have swum. The property is pristine, beautiful and is often used for modelling shoots. It is heaven on earth. Thank you Mr Mitchell Day for your bizarre and untrue rendition.
