FOREST GARDENS GETAWAY is a small Bed & Breakfast located on the edge of the Ottawa National Forest & the Sylvania Wilderness Area. If you’re looking for a place to help you put away the cares and concerns of the world, look no further! We have been hosting guests for 10 years and have loved every minute of it. Our goal is to provide a peaceful, retreat-like experience for our guests and we do whatever we can to make you feel comfortable and welcome. Land O Lakes, WI is 2 miles to the south and Watersmeet, MI is 6 miles to the north. We are within an hour of Bond Falls, Porcupine Mountain State Park, Lake of the Clouds, and many beautiful waterfalls. You are surrounded by the quiet of nature! We start your day with a large breakfast and you can end it in the large screened porch by the lake watching all of the wildlife.

This large room has a queen size bed. Your large private bathroom is located immediately outside the bedroom door. Robes are provided.

We have a separate suite on the opposite side of the house from you and are as available as you wish for us to be. We love to visit with our guests but also want to give you your privacy if you so desire!

Please also check out the lower level 2 bedroom/1 bathroom suite that sleeps 4 (property #4642791). The entire guest area is available at a discount for larger groups up to 6.

This home is beautiful and spacious! Designed by Allen 20 years ago and built with attention to every detail. The property is peaceful and secluded. A wonderful escape! And the food!!! Debbie is an excellent cook and we had a delicious and filling breakfast. We felt very welcome, almost like family!

A beautiful property and amazing hosts. The breakfasts are photo worthy and always tasty and carefully prepared. We loved every minute of our stay. It was hard to pack up and drive away. A truly soul healing experience.

This was an absolutely beautiful home. The owners were very accommodating and very very nice and easy to work with. My room and bathroom were perfect and I had many different places I could sit and enjoy their property overlooking the lake enjoying their gazebo and a beautiful living room to enjoy as well. The kitchen was absolutely gorgeous. The breakfast Debbie fixed was outstanding. I would recommend this property to anyone. It was such an enjoyable stay. Thank you Allen and Debbie for a beautiful time.

Our stay was way beyond our expectations from reading all the 5 star reviews. The property is one of the most beautiful homes that we’ve ever seen. From the moment that we drove up to the property we were in awe of the home and landscaping. And then to be greeted by two of the nicest people that you can imagine. Their hospitality made us feel like family. We most definitely hope to visit them again soon.

If you are looking to relax or get out and do things this is your place.Our stay could not have been any better. Debbie and Al are so friendly and want to make your stay the best they can that they go way above any expectations.I cannot say enough about our stay. Debbie and Alan are the best hosts we’ve ever had. We only stayed the night but that evening was so relaxing, the bedroom was perfect and the breakfast was fantastic. We recommend anybody stay here if you’re looking for a nice quiet retreat.

A wonderful hideaway in the Ottawa National Forest

We were warmly welcomed by Debbie and Alan our hosts to their beautiful cabin overlooking the lake. Our breakfast was delicious and our nights sleep super peaceful. If we visit the UP again we will certainly aim to stay longer to enjoy the area. We could not fault our stay and recommend it highly.

Spectacular!

My husband and I have been coming up north to the Eagle River area for many years and typically stay in a cottage on a lake. We decided to try something new this year and stayed at Debbie and Alan’s bed and breakfast. The property was absolutely stunning and the location was great. Debbie and Alan were wonderful hosts providing great conversation, tips about local spots to visit and absolutely incredible breakfasts. We really loved our stay and hope to visit again!
