Beautiful little cottage
Definitely a great place to get away from the busy city lifestyle. Great hospitality from the owners.
Peaceful and serene atmosphere surrounded by bush and animals. It was very clean for a cottage in the middle of the bush.
Terence and partner were a lovely, considerate couple and perfect guests that took great care of the cottage, leaving it very clean and tidy. We can certainly recommend them to other hosts.
A cottage in a million
What a great find! If peace and quiet is of the essence, it is the place to go. If you need a break from the state of affairs around the planet, this is the place to go. This being said, the area is also in a poor state with fire raging all over but fear not, it needs support and is accessible and safe. If you like walking, siestas, birding, observing wildlife, reading... this is the place to go. It is rustic, but confortable. The cottage has a very special spirit, the walls tell not one but many stories. Julia and Colin are very resourceful, accessible and welcoming. I'd go back anytime.
Lovely little cottage away from it all
We had a lovely time at Saddler's cottage. Very cozy, surrounded by beautiful bush. Lots of roos and emus sighted! Communication with Julie was fantastic.
I feel so lucky to have had a chance to see this beautiful piece of paradise. Very secluded, clean and absolutely charming cottage with loads of character. We enjoyed the open fire place and how warm and cozy it made the cottage feel. The large bath was a fabulous addition after a long day of hiking through the beautiful river, gorges and bush tracks. Julia and Colin were fantastic, very respectful of our privacy and not at all intrusive although more than happy to help and chat if we needed anything. They always made us feel so welcome. This extends to the fresh herbs, chilli and free range eggs on the table when you enter and the complimentary firewood cut, split and reAdy to go. A must do if you are looking to escape the grind and reconnect with those you love most, even the family dog. Thank you again Julia and Colin for the opportunity to explore your home :)
This cottage is what it says it is. Secluded retreat that will make you feel artistic.
Wonderful isolation. The quiet and the wind were wonderful. Kitchen was perfectly adequate, and the fresh flowers, herbs, and eggs on the table got used with glee. Those country eggs were the colour of a sunflower when scrambled. Nice topper on the main bed made sleeping pretty good. This would not be a good place for untrained animals, however, as the wildlife is all around and the screen doors do not latch. Staying here feels like sleeping in a museum, and any visitors should bring gentleness and respect so things don't get damaged.
