The Forest home was wonderful, as was our host! 6 guys fit comfortably and took full advantage of the common spaces to hang out and catch up on life. I highly recommend The Forest for a family or any group of good friends to stay together and build memories. In addition, the location was within short walking distance to the fun, vibrant east side of 6th street and an easy Uber trip to the west side of 6th, Rainey Street and beyond.

We came to visit our son at UT and decided to stay here rather than a hotel. This house was lovely! So charming, beautifully decorated and a peaceful getaway. It was close to campus and Rainey Street. We will definitely stay here again, highly recommend for families!

Home away from home

Well stocked with everything you might need from beach towels to phone charger. The pantry and fridge were well stocked with coffee, tea, eggs, etc. We ate all our meals out at some of the many near-by restaurants but the various snacks tided our family over until mealtime. We didn't have to go to the grocery store during our stay. We'd definitely stay again the next time we're in Austin.

We were in town for a wedding and had a nice stay at this home. The place was clean, offered plenty of room, comfortable beds, and a well-stocked kitchen. Walked to coffee shop in the morning, and could have walked to downtown very easily, had we not had the kids with us. We took a cab from the airport and got dropped off in the front of the home (entrance is in the rear). That was the only 'down' side to the entire trip. Loved the place and the location.

Cute and convenient to downtown, but a couple of glitches..

Cute place and convenient to downtown. On the weekend nights, there was a bit of noise due to proximity to a lively area, so earplugs may be beneficial if you are noise sensitive. I was a little frustrated to get a charge for a broken (?) trash can as I strive to be a responsible and respectful guest, but when I explained I did nothing to damage the can, the charges were rescinded, which I appreciated. This is someone’s home, so there is “stuff” in the fridge, etc., but overall it was a cute, roomy and convenient place.

So many amenities!

We have been using vacation rentals for over 10 years. This home had so many wonderful and generous amenities. It was clean and comfortable. During the day it was a quick and easy walk to Rainy Street. Within a few steps from the house there was a taco truck with great food. In front of the home is a beautiful courtyard with a lot of native plants and a fun tree house. We highly recommend this home to anyone traveling to Austin.

The home was clean and inviting. We were comfortable inside or when sharing a meal outside on the patio. The location provided access to many different restaurants and coffee houses. So we walked where we wanted to go and returned to just hang out afterwards. The owner gave us a cozy place to recline and recover.
