Cozy, quaint 1930's river rock farm house, whole house rental, 1990 square feet, with private entrance, provides 3 bedrooms, 1 baths, with hardwood floors, 2 with TV's, and an unique open stone floor shower for your comfort. Living room with gas logs, Dining room seats 6, full kitchen access with full coffee bar and snacks provided. Private entrance with porch and swing. The ability to close off living area and bedroom for maximum privacy. The house is furnished with 2 queen beds and one full bed, sleeps 6 people easily, 7 if someone doesn't mind sleeping on the couch. Wifi is provided free of cost. The grounds provide a 14,000 gallon koi pond, large patio with bar, table and chairs, large yard, barn, riding ring and an array of rescue animals of various kinds. We board and rescue horses, and the horses are visible from the porch and front bedroom. Koi can be fed and interacted with. Children may ride horses with assistance, for a reasonable rental fee. Rental of horses start at $50 per horse. Pigs, horses, donkey,goats, chickens and ducks can be fed treats. Also there is a front porch swing and a fire pit for your pleasure!

Such a great stay

Had a great weekend stay. The property owner was so kind to my family, especially my oldest. She gave her some carrots to feed the farm animals there. It was a lot of fun for the kids to pet the animals and see the koi pond. She even helped us by working with us on our check out time so we wouldn't be stressed about an event we had to attend. I would recommend this property.

Amazing!

This was our second time staying here and we love it! It's very relaxing, peaceful and convenient to so many areas. The owner is great and her rescue horses are beautiful! I loved spending time with those incredible animals!! Noodles the donkey was a favorite, too!

About the host

I am the forth generation heir to run and own this farm. My Great grandfather built this house by hand in 1930. It's been handed down through the family to the next family member who took the most interest. I moved back in 1996 and started a small training and riding facility, I taught over 400 children in a 13 year period. I officially inherited the property in 2013 when my father passed away. I have spent the last 4 years restoring the house to its original condition. I hope I am making my ancestors proud by the hard work I have done. My goal is to turn it into a full time rescue focusing on horses and pigs.

Why they chose this property

This is an original family farm first bought in 1900. My Great grandfather originally raised pigs, my father raised cows, but I fell in love with horses. I plan on handing it down to my two daughters.

What makes this property unique

Quiet, off the road, croaking of bullfrogs and tree frogs from the koi pond. Low on light pollution so you can see the night stars. No sounds of traffic, interact with farm animals, feed a rescue, pet a pig. Ground manager, Michelle, may fix you a cocktail and crank up the karaoke machine! We keep child safe horses on the property for kids pleasure.
