This beautiful 1-bed flat is on the lower ground floor in a historic early 18th century house. It provides an oasis of calm in the centre of the city. It is spacious for two people sharing a double bed.
It is located in Soho close to theatres, galleries, restaurants etc. Within easy walking distance are: the British Museum, National Gallery, Covent Garden, Oxford Street, Buckingham Palace and the big London parks such as St James's and Regents.
There is excellent public transport with three tube stations close by: Piccadilly Circus, Leicester Square and Tottenham Court Road. The new Elizabeth Line runs directly from Heathrow to Tottenham Court Road from where it is a 3 minute walk to the flat.
The flat is on the Lower floor of the house ( basement) of a historic (circa 1700') Queen Anne house in Soho.
It is newly refurbished and has wood panelling in all the rooms + wooden floors.

The living room /open kitchen area has 3 large windows which let the daylight in and contains a flat screen TV+ Wifi..
The modern kitchen includes washing machine, small fridge freezer, electric oven and hob.
The bedroom contains a double bed and chest of drawers.
The bathroom comprises a bath with a hand held shower attachment.

The flat is furnished with a mixture of antique and modern furniture and has beautiful wooden floors with oriental rug.

Soho is a lively area at night but the street is relatively quiet as is the flat ( the bedroom is located at the back).

Quiet spot in busy area

Our hosts were attentive and helpful, the apartment was roomy and quiet -charming with some nice antiques and a good kitchen. Very secure, a bit subterranean, but that’s part of its cool charm and why it’s so quiet in such a busy neighborhood. Very well situated for visiting museums and theaters.

Absolutely Perfect!

What a lovely flat - charming, cosy (but more spacious than it seems in the pictures) and has everything you need. The location is spectacular, surprisingly quiet for where it is and Jane and Susan are wonderful hosts! Would happily stay there again any time.

Perfect Location with Helpful Host

This flat is in the perfect location in SoHo for all London exploring, sightseeing, and eating. The flat itself is very cozy, with all the amenities a couple needs to relax and regroup. Jane was extremely helpful, kind, and accommodating from check-in and through our entire stay.

The apartment is very clean and well designed. The bed is very comfortable and the kitchen is perfect for a short stay. Charming books and furniture. I was able to get to shopping and restaurants and museums easily because it’s so central. Drawbacks are that it’s in the basement and the entrance is down stairs to a dark entry which feels exposed to the nightlife on the street. I was given a big chain and padlock to secure the gate — someone homeless was sleeping on the adjacent stoop so the vibe of the location is very urban. Once inside you feel private. On Saturday night there was club music and footsteps above my head and sliding tables from the restaurant nearby (?) until midnight so I had a hard time going to sleep and needed white noise. Other weeknights nights were quieter by 10-11pm. Some may not care but there is no full length mirror and the bathroom light is very dim. If you need to look nice for work or social event you will have a small mirror and some light from the street. This was difficult for me because I was attending a work event , and had to dress up a couple of times.

Amazing location

This basement flat is comfortable and in a fabulous location in Soho. Our hosts were very welcoming and some special touches in the flat were very much appreciated. Restaurants, theatre and boutiques and shops were found in every direction. We were so close to all sites that no transportation was needed. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, thanks.

Great Central Location

This property was an ideal location for visiting all the "must-see" spots in London. Cool pubs and restaurants only steps away, in every direction, plus easy access to stores for personal supplies. Easy, manageable walk to everything. Property was clean, comfortable, and hosts were accommodating. I appreciated the ease in communicating with hosts. They were always quick to respond to any question, before and during our stay. My wife and had a wonderful stay.

A cozy Soho den

My friend and I felt welcomed by Jane and her husband throughout our entire stay. They were so accommodating with our travel schedule which helped immensely with checking in and out, and were very responsive and communicative. The place is located on the basement floor that requires a short flight of stairs to go down but I would still recommend this place if you want a central place in Soho.

Great location

I love the location and the spaciousness of this! Jane and William were lovely to work with and were very helpful and sweet. One thing I’d mention, and it’s a big one if you’re a light sleeper like me. Very loud sounds coming from upstairs and from the restaurant next door. Moving tables, chairs, stomping up and down the stairs at all times of the day. It does get quieter late at night but stirs up again early morning. Next door there is a long queue for the Korean restaurant and people tend to loiter outside. Wifi is spotty, they do have two for you to connect to, just wish they were stronger on it’s own. However, aside from this I would still come back just for the location and the warm vibes from the owners. Comfy and cozy little den in the middle of lively soho!

Outstanding location

A magical stay in the heart of theatreland. A few things to note, all is mentioned by the host as well. The flat is on the lower level, you must take a metal staircase to arrive at the flat. The shower head is typical of Europe, you must hold the shower head, IE it is handheld, not attached to the wall. The internet in the main room is excellent, we worked while away with no internet issues. In the bedroom, the internet is not as strong, but that is to be expected as with most rentals anywhere in the UK or on the continent. There is no dishwasher, not a problem, very hot water at all faucets, and why would you cook when you are in the foodie area of all that is good and right with London?!?! The bed was super comfortable. The stay was very cozy in November. Several tube station were max 10 minutes walk. The host responded immediately with any questions I had and she was lovely to work with.

The location of this apartment cannot be beat. Right around the corner from theater in the West End and surrounded by restaurants, pubs, shopping and public transportation. Despite the frenetic pace outside the apartment, we didn't hear a lot of street noise. You do get a lot of noise from upstairs, however, with loud footsteps, moving chairs, slamming doors and sometimes you can even hear conversations. The apartment was equipped with the basics but nothing more than the basics (such as one scratchy bath towel and one scratchy hand towel each, no top sheet on the bed) but when we asked for a sponge and dish towel to clean up our dishes, the host promptly provided them. She was also super helpful with transportation tips, and provided a list of suggested restaurants etc. Its a solid 4 star place, just not really luxury/5 star.

Loved our stay in this flat! Everything was close by & walkable. Check in was easy. Jane, the owner, was there to meet with me as I first arrived. Wonderful flat, great location!

This is a great apartment, very big, with a bath and large kitchen and comfortable bed. The location is amazing.. just steps away from a ton of coffee, bagel shops, pubs and restaurants- and minutes from all the theaters. Very quiet, despite the location! Highly recommend!

Top possible location!

Near everything, absolutely everything. Also it is in the centre of Soho, an area packed with excellent pubs, cafés and restaurants. An experience of real London. Keep your expectations low so you won’t be disappointed.

We were so excited for our first trip to London. The area down in the basement is where the rooms are. Maybe the washer works but with no dryer, there’s no reason to try. The first afternoon, something bit my husband while he stretched out on top of the bed. (We eventually saw a pharmacist in Scotland by the end of the week because of cellulitis.) At night, after a full day of sightseeing, we would try to fall asleep while the owners moved chairs and walked around upstairs. If you are getting paid to have guests downstairs, please be considerate enough to not play music loudly or drag furniture around every night starting at @9:00 pm until about 11:00pm..I think we were just expecting more than how it truly was. If you’re young and like the bar scene/nightlife, it’s probably just right for you. If you’re two grownups who have been sightseeing all day, find somewhere else.
