This was a charming and beautiful space. The decor was fun. The layout was perfect for cooking, enjoying a fire, doing a puzzle, watching a movie, relaxing in bed, dining outside, and relaxing in the hot tub after a hike you could start right off the property!

Disliked: Location
It had the standard amenities but the shower was clogged and there was no firewood or festive/warm welcome.
The perfect getaway. The cabin has ample privacy and the area is super quiet. We especially loved the hot tub overlooking the mountain side, and enjoyed the loft space with the king size bed, the bed is extremely comfortable. There are lots of things to do in town. Nice shops and some delicious restaurants: Ferro and Mama’s Egg House were our favorites.
This was our second stay here, and it won't be our last. Everything is perfect, from the amenities to the location to the spa that overlooks a valley to the cabin cat, this place is the total package. The only bad part was having to leave!
This cabin getaway was everything we could have hoped for and a great home base for our first trip to Idyllwild. The space itself was warm, thoughtfully designed and was the perfect size for two of us (though could easily accommodate a few additional folks as well). Finding it and checking in were easy, everything was very clean, the setting felt private and secure, and the location made for easy access into town and local hiking spots. Time spent inside the cabin was cozy and comfortable - the highlights for us were making fires in the wood burning stove and cooking in the modern kitchen. Outside, our time was spent in the hot tub enjoying the incredible views and sunset, and with the absolutely wonderful cat caretaker of the property!!! He was such a sweetie and would talk us into long sits on the porch so we could enjoy more time with him. It was very hard to leave this magical spot and return to reality but we will certainly be coming back!
This cabin is in a great location - even though there are other cabins around it, once you are parked and settled, you will feel totally secluded, especially from the back porch and back yard area, which is on the edge of the mountain and full of beautiful manzanitas, pines, and oaks. Parking is easy and right next to the cabin. There is a path to the back edge of the property with a well-maintained hot tub that is literally perched on the edge, overlooking incredible views of the forest and valley! The inside of the cabin was tidy and decorated with an artsy, vintage vibe - not "cabiny" but just super cool. The kitty that lives there is such a sweetie! We called him "Wiley" and got pretty attached to him. He will want to come in but is perfectly fine staying out and using his apartment, as requested. The big king bed upstairs is comfy and private, and the twin bed downstairs is also comfortable (it is in the living room.) There is a futon upstairs and a couch downstairs as well, and both would suffice as beds if needed. The fireplace is wood-burning and works well. The kitchen is updated and has all the basics. (Bring foil, plastic wrap, and ziplocks if needed.) The bathroom is nice; the shower has a very narrow door, so if you are big, that could be an issue. The host is easy to reach, friendly, and responds quickly. We are going to book again right now!
Great getaway cabin. Modern kitchen. Huge king sized bed. Very responsive owners when we had questions. Lot of great restaurants in town. Had snow the first day. The two heaters worked great. Is off a small dirt road. Glad we had an SUV with AWD.
This cabin in Pine Cove fit our small family of 5 very well. The kitchen works well for a small family, and the large table was great for the board games we played at night in the midst of the late Dec.-early Jan. snow. The owner is an excellent communicator who helped us check in and handle the amenities very well. I'm grateful we had an opportunity to rent it. I'm also glad we brought tire chains! If you go in winter, be sure to bring them just in case.
This cabin was everything we wanted and more! My sisters and I wanted to get away and be surrounded by nature, but didn't want to rough it and this cozy cabin had all the comforts of home we were looking for! Clean and modern, but absolutely charming and rustic. Well equipped kitchen, plenty of linens, and comfy beds.
We arrived at night so we were prepared for a precarious drive and arrival. It would definitely be wise to have 4-wheel drive vehicle in the winter or wet months, and the journey into the mountains is not for the faint of heart, but our arrival at the cabin was SPLENDID. There is beautiful lighting placed around the property, so unpacking and getting into the cabin was a breeze. It also made our nightly trips down the cobblestone trail to the hot tub feel like we were in the lap of luxury.
We were greeted by the friendly “landlord” cat who excitedly led us around the property to show us the views, purring all along the way, giving us an additional reason to enjoy the outdoors (she did try to get in once, so be careful!). The trail nearby was a great speed for the three of us, who wanted something easily accessible but still out in nature.
I found myself looking in the rearview mirror as we left, wishing we had more time to spend there… I will definitely be back!
We absolutely loved our stay. The cabin is decorated in a fun, eclectic style. The host thought of everything, making sure guests will be comfortable in this well appointed cabin. The property is thoughtfully designed, providing peace and privacy. The meandering stone path leading to the hot tub feels like such an idyllic escape. The comfortable outdoor seating area was the perfect place to enjoy a glass of wine in the afternoon. The views are incredible and the property is still a manageable distance from town. We can’t wait to go back!
This cabin exceeded my expectations! Very clean cabin with adorable kitchen. A small pet peeve I usually have with rentals is poor lighting - either too dark or fluorescent type overhead lights. This cabin had many small cute lamps for a warm feeling in the living /dining room. Small but cozy. And the best part of this rental is the outdoors. Several shady seating areas, hammock, and walk to a private heated hot tub. And all overlooking forest land. My friend and I barely left the cabin it was so peaceful. Sleeping areas aren’t very private, and that is the only thing that might be an issue for some travelers. But I will definitely put this on my ‘be-back’ list!
This cozy cabin made for the perfect weekend home. The check in/out process with Jamie was easier than any hotel. Upon arrival we were met with a beautiful backyard with much to explore and a clean cabin that we immediately fell in love with. Jamie provided anything one could need, from a full set of kitchenware to tea for the morning. Not long into our stay, we were greeted by the sweetest cat who my wife became inseparable from. The neighborhood is a quiet one where you really feel immersed in nature. A short walk from the back door will lead you to the hot tub along with an astounding view of the national forest. This cabin provided the means for an unforgettable vacation, and I eagerly await the next opportunity to stay here again.
We loved our time here. It was private but not hard to get to, quiet and serene. Everything was clean and adorable. We particularly loved the cabin kitty that lived outside. Absolutely we would recommend this cabin to friends and hope to stay again someday.
Pictures don't do this place justice! Jamie was an awesome host. Very communitive, friendly, and happy to assist with any questions we had. Jamie's description of the cabin was right on point, but experiencing it was something so much more. There is no lack of details in this cabin. From the high quality bedding, to the wireless charging pads, tastefully chosen retro modern décor, beautiful kitchen, cozy bathroom and our favorite part, the jacuzzi and the endless view of the sequoias and surrounding mountains. If you are missing your furry friends, there is the most friendly outdoor cat you could ever meet. Definitely a bonus for us animal lovers to love on while we are away. We really enjoyed ourselves here! Cant wait to come back. Thanks Jamie!
My wife and I came to this cabin for an anniversary weekend away. All I can say is WOW. The property is very quiet, the cabin is well taken care of, you can tell that the owner went to great lengths and cost to renovate the property. The bed was comfortable, and so is the couch. The jacuzzi was perfect with an awesome view. The owner was easy to get in touch with, as I had questions and they were answered promptly, my wife and i will definitely be returning next year. Thank you Jamie!
Don’t judge a book by its cover! This cozy A-Frame cabin doesn’t look like much from the outside, but is very updated inside with everything you need for a romantic secluded weekend getaway for two. The interior decorating is comfortable eclectic retro which was just the right style for our Trip. The big hot tub is brand new and located right on the edge of the property with amazing views of the National forest. We spent some quality time in the very comfortable hammock while star gazing! You’ll have to see the incredible handmade stone wood fireplace for yourselves! The property is a convenient short drive from town which is great if you want to have a night out too. Owner was very responsive and gave me a discount on my request for an extra night stay - very cool. The only problem we had was finding the place in the dark at night, so I’d recommend making sure you arrive in daylight. Overall great experience, and I’ve recommended to several of my friends already.
Such a great little property. Cozy, with plenty of space, and an amazing kitchen. My wife and I spent our anniversary here, and it did not disappoint. Other than getting lost in the neighborhood after dark and almost getting stuck in some mud (owner did highly recommend 4-wheel drive, but we thought we'd be okay because it hadnt snowed in a while), it was perfect. As stated the cabin was great, but the real star of this property is the hot tub in the woods. A short walk down a stone path, this hot tub overlooks the whole valley from it's own private wooded glen like something out of a storybook. Could not have been more happy with this experience!
