Well appointed, comfortable. Large kitchen/dining area, nice bathrooms, comfortable beds. The Politz's are good, accommodating hosts; we'd definitely stay here again when in Lake Charles.

Great location

We came for Smoke and Barrell Fest and the location was perfect. Walking distance to some great bars and restaurants. The house was perfect for the 3 couples. Definitely worth the stay if you want to experience downtown Lake Charles.

Now I see why no exterior pictures !

Home was nice and clean but unfinished . Several rooms without any window coverings . The neighborhood is very run down and felt semi unsafe. There is an adjoining unit that had old tires , a bumper , an old mattress etc on the back patio which we had to look at for our view along with abandoned run down homes. Directly across the street is low income apartments . If you’re planning on staying inside the entire time you will be fine as long as you bring blankets to hang over the windows that had no blinds . The host is very sweet and I’m sure once he gets the unit finished and the surrounding area possibly improves it would be a nice place to stay . It is a short walk to downtown but there is nothing really open to do with the exception of Lunas that was a fun spot ! I wish them luck with this property.

Such a perfect place to stay!

Desiree and Clay were amazing hosts. They had a knack for knowing what we would need and providing it. They were so above and beyond! The house was convenient to wherever we were going. It was spacious, clean and fabulously outfitted. When in Lake Charles I’ll never stay anywhere else!

Check-out procedures

The house worked great for our family. No issues. The check-out procedures said we had to strip all the beds, put dirty towels in the washer and start, fill the dishwasher and start. If you are there on a Sunday, they asked us to move the outside garbage can from the back to the front yard. I have never been asked to do this before.
