Why David Musselman chose Brighton
We wanted a location that was close to the city that we could access in the summer easily. We also love all of the variety of things to do from biking, fishing, and of course skiing. Being only 15 minutes from Deer Valley was also a big plus.
What makes this Cabin unique
For winter travelers, The cabin sits right of the main highway leading to Brighton. This means that if you come to ski, you will not need a snowmobile to get to the cabin. The roads are maintained during the winter and unless there is a major storm 90% of the time you can drive a front wheel drive car right to the front door! I

The pics don't do it justice!
I held my wedding party here on Aug. 24, 2019. The pictures of the inside of the cabin don't do it justice, it is absolutely beautiful. Everyone was amazed. The balcony was spacious with beautiful views and the fire pit and hot tub were wonderful. We enjoyed every minute here and our guests did too. The owner was quickly responsive to any inquiries we had and easy to work with. Emptying the garbage is kind of a pain, but a small price to pay for such a great place. Also, beware the neighbor, he yelled at us literally the minute we showed up, warning us about making noise and parking in his way. We didn't have issues with him after that though. All in all, I highly recommend this place, and I'm a very picky person.
Family cabin trip
Magical cabin with loads of amenities. Our family stayed at this cabin and also rented the Musselman’s boat. They’re excellent hosts and made sure we enjoyed every moment of our stay.
Cabin enjoyable including the hot tub. Roomy on main floor to cfc accommodate us. One problem was the listing said sleeps up to 18. There are beds to sleep only 10.
Thanks Von! It was a pleasure to have your family come stay. Thanks for the feedback on the beds. We explain very clearly the number of bedrooms and beds and couch beds that are used to justify number of people the cabin will sleep. We have not had any confusion from past guests on this point but we are reviewing the description of the property to ensure no future confusion is had.
Most amazing house ever!
We rented this house for our annual family reunion. It is absolutely amazing down to the smallest details!
He has spent so much time and effort making this place cool and unique, and we all agreed that in 9 years of our FamCamps, this was the best place we’ve stayed at. We very much enjoyed the sauna, hot tub and showers, as well as the plethora of games in the game closet, the soft sheets, amazing down comforters, comfortable beds and pillows, outdoor fire pit, and the kitchen. He had everything we needed to cook every meal, even the spice cupboard was well stocked! The location was amazing, right across the street from the town store and hiking trails.
David responded quickly to any messages and questions we had.
Garbage was a little tricky to take out, but that was the only minor inconvenience.
This is the ideal cabin in the woods. Would definitely stay again!
Everything was perfect. The house, the host, the ski resort. This is the perfect place for a family vacation. We took our 4 grandchildren- ages 5, 6, 7 and 9. The resort was family oriented and the instructors were amazing. This house is walking distance- even for a 5 year old. We plan to go back next year.
Utah Ski Trip
The house was perfect! It was comfortable and cozy with lots of space that can fit many people. Very close to the Brighton Ski Resort, like a 5 minute walk. It fit our group of 18 nicely. The host David was super nice and responds immediately to all text messages. We will definitely be back.
Golf: Take a drive over Gaurdsman Pass and you are only 15 minutes from 3 world class Golf Courses. The homestead, Wasatch, and Soldier Hollow.
Ski: This is truly a ski in/out cabin. You can walk out your door and be on the lift in less than 5 minutes.
